High temperatures are generally caused by the increased thermal motion of microscopic particles, leading to more intense electromagnetic interactions. On a macroscopic scale, this manifests as heat conduction, thermal radiation, and thermal expansion.
In other words, if "fundamental forces" did not participate in the interactions between matter,
then the phenomena associated with high temperatures would not exist.
In the world of unobservable matter, however, Dark Matter can only transmit interactions through gravity and other fundamental forces that are not the electromagnetic, strong, or weak forces.
The interaction second only to gravity is Spiritual Power.
Spiritual Power was, of course, named by Murphy. Since Murphy called unobservable matter "Spiritual Qi," it naturally followed that the force would be "Spiritual Power."
But in the lexicon of Wizards, this is called Magic Power.
Of course, it can also be called Mana.
