Sophie Wexler pressed her lips together, her fingertips resting on her lap twitching slightly. "Didn't I tell you last time that I had a dream?"
"In the dream, you killed me."
"Just because of a dream?" Cillian Forrest stared at her without blinking.
'How could a single dream affect her so much?'
"Yes," Sophie Wexler said. "And it's not the first time I've had that dream."
"The ending is the same every time."
As she spoke, Sophie Wexler looked up at Cillian Forrest. 'I can't just tell him I've transmigrated into a book.'
'And that we're living in a world that's just a novel, and that death was the original owner's fate in the book.'
'Even if I told him, he wouldn't believe me.'
Cillian Forrest watched Sophie Wexler's somewhat evasive expression, lost in thought.
Just as Sophie Wexler was starting to feel uneasy, the man spoke. "I understand."
