Holly Summers was on the verge of a breakdown. "Impossible! I touched it! It was a long, slithery thing. It has to be a snake, how could I be wrong?"
That chilly, slippery feeling seemed to cling to her hand. Just thinking about it made her skin crawl. She was so, so scared!
"Box number two does not contain a snake. However, seeing as you're so scared, I'll give you one more chance to feel inside box number two. Guess correctly, and this will be over."
Holly Summers couldn't believe she could have been wrong. But hearing it wasn't a snake gave her a little more courage. Rather than touching another box, it was better to try box number two again. At least she knew for sure it wasn't a snake.
"I'll continue."
This time, she stood up a little faster and left her hand inside for a moment longer.
