「Late at night.」
A man was practicing calligraphy at his desk when the sudden ring of his phone shattered the silence of the room.
Henry Stark glanced at the caller ID, a flicker of surprise crossing his brow.
'Why would Renee Jennings be calling me at this hour?'
'Did something happen? An accident?'
At that thought, Henry Stark quickly answered the phone, his expression grave. "Renee, what happened?"
Renee Jennings heard the serious tone in his voice and froze for a few seconds before she managed to respond. "No, it's not that. There's no danger. I'm calling to ask you a question."
Hearing there was no danger, Henry Stark's tense nerves relaxed, and his voice softened. "What did you want to ask me?"
Renee Jennings explained her idea. "Do you think doing this will have any negative consequences?"
