She represented Xu Yun, cut the ribbon, and participated in the launch ceremony.
Not far from the venue.
Xu Yun leaned against a tree, quietly watching the event on stage.
He had come after all, to witness the scholarship fund named after him officially take root at his alma mater, Jiang University.
It wasn't because Xu Yun was some great man hoping for the thanks and gratitude of the students he sponsored.
He just wanted to leave a small mark of his own on his alma mater.
"You punk, didn't you say you were busy and couldn't make it?"
Wu Jinyan spotted him by chance and walked over, chiding him with a smile, "You came yourself but still made Jingya go on stage for you."
"Professor, I just finished up my business and rushed over."
Xu Yun grinned and teased, "But you have to admit, my junior looked really good on stage in that outfit today."
"Of course she looked good."
