"Thank you for the kind offer, Manager Dong, but I still think the branch office is just fine."
"Fine, fine. It seems you're quite confident in your relationship with President Xu."
Dong Hongping said mockingly, "I hope you still have the nerve to talk to me like this in a little while."
As the two of them waited, Jian Shiwai's phone finally rang.
Dong Hongping said, "Put it on speaker."
Jian Shiwai did as she was told.
"Hello, Xiaowei."
On the phone, Xu Yun asked with a laugh, "You called me just now. Is something wrong?"
"President Xu, it's like this."
With someone else present, Jian Shiwai used a more formal address. "Manager Dong from our main branch came to see me just now," she said. "She said you've already agreed to transfer your personal account to the main branch. I was wondering if you were aware of this."
"Manager Dong? Transfer my personal account to the main branch?"
Xu Yun sounded utterly confused. "Who is she? I don't recall knowing anyone by that name."
