Half an hour later, the service phone in Xu Yun's room began to ring.
It was a direct line to the hotel's front desk.
"Hello, Mr. Xu."
Over the phone, a hotel staff member asked, "There's a Miss Wanqing downstairs looking for you. Should we let her up?"
The room Xu Yun was staying in had a private elevator.
Therefore, any outside visitors needed a key card to come up.
Or, the hotel would only grant access after receiving the guest's permission.
This was to protect the guest's privacy and ensure they weren't disturbed.
"She's my guest. Let her come up," Xu Yun replied.
"Of course, Mr. Xu."
A moment later, the elevator doors opened, and Wanqing stepped out wearing a cream-colored slip dress.
She entered the room, saw Xu Yun sitting before the floor-to-ceiling windows, and walked over, calling out, "President Xu."
"You're here."
Xu Yun turned his head, smiled, and poured red wine into a glass he had prepared earlier. "Have a seat. Let's have a drink."
"Okay."
