The villagers had complained multiple times, so he couldn't just ignore them. He'd even organized a group to try and catch the dog.
But the dog was cunning and would bolt the moment it saw anyone. After all that trouble, they couldn't even catch a single hair off it.

One was a middle-aged man named Hu Guangyu, a police sergeant.
The auxiliary officer with him was surnamed Chen.
Shen Xin had contacted their deputy chief. Hu Guangyu just happened to be in the area today to swap out some anti-fraud posters, so he dropped by on his way.
