The Mind Relic combined with the Heaven-Sealing Array, acting as its core. If the relic remained, the array remained; if the relic was destroyed, the array would fall. The reverse was also true. This was an overt scheme to protect the Mind Relic.
The Black Buddha was certain that Wang Yi couldn't bear to part with the Heaven-Sealing Array. Therefore, Wang Yi wouldn't destroy the Mind Relic, but rather protect it. Once the relic was unsealed and activated, the Black Buddha would use it for his Nirvana Rebirth. He could then escape the Great Dream Divine Map, launch a spiritual invasion, and conquer a Buddha Realm! He originally thought unsealing the Mind Relic would be easy and that his rebirth would happen quickly. Despite all his calculations, he never expected the Heaven-Sealing Array to be in danger of being breached, to the point where the Mind Relic actively called for help.
