Allen walked into a shop called "Artisan's Workshop."
This was a favorite haunt for apprentices of the alchemy school, specializing in the sale of high-precision processing tools.
"I need a Micro-Engraving Light Pen with an etching precision of fifty micrometers or less, and its energy output must be stable."
Allen spoke to the shop owner, who was behind the counter wiping down a component.
The shop owner looked up, sized Allen up, and noticed the Advanced Apprentice Robe that signified his affiliation with the alchemy school. The lazy expression on his face receded slightly.
"Fifty micrometers? That's a pretty high standard."
The owner chuckled, pulling a pen from under the counter. "The 'Firefly' series. Elven craftsmanship, stable output with a peak fluctuation of no more than 0.5 percent, and precision down to thirty micrometers. As for the price..."
He held up two thick, short fingers. "Two hundred Low-Level Magic Stones."
