But to Chen Yansen's surprise, he had just arrived at his hotel when a call came in from Zhou Hongyi.
"President Chen, it's Lao Zhou. I heard you're in Yanjing! I'll host a welcome dinner for you at Jingzhao Prefect tonight."
Zhou Hongyi's tone was chummy as he enthusiastically made the arrangements.
It was as if he'd completely forgotten his own arrogance from their first meeting.
"Let's make it tomorrow night. President Zhang from Sohu invited me to a bar," Chen Yansen said. He was sitting on the sofa, and a pair of small hands landed on his shoulders from behind, gently massaging his neck.
"Old Zhang? I know him well. Why don't I join you?" Zhou Hongyi said with a chuckle.
"Lei Yijun will be there too," Chen Yansen added.
"On second thought, never mind. Jingzhao Prefect, tomorrow at seven." Zhou Hongyi's laughter died, and he quickly ended the call.
