"Ding! Congratulations to player 'Yi Tianyun' on breaking through to the ninth level of the Spirit King Stage!"
"Ding! Congratulations to player 'Yi Tianyun' on reaching the peak of the Spirit King Stage!"
After leveling up twice in a row, he finally stopped, stuck at the peak of the Spirit King Stage. 'I thought I'd be able to break through to the Saint King Stage, but it seems I was overthinking things.'
Advancing from the peak of the Spirit King Stage to the Saint King Stage required a full 15 billion experience points. To put that in perspective, breaking through from the first to the second level of the Spirit King Stage only required three billion. In the later levels, it took a staggering eight or nine billion, sometimes even ten billion experience points per level. As a result, what seemed like an absurd amount of experience was only enough to gain a level or two.
