The two of them didn't talk for long. Mia Grant was in a hurry to do some shopping, and Silas Grant could hear the urgency in her voice. He gave her a couple of quick reminders before hanging up.
Simon Adler looked up, taking in Silas Grant's reaction.
"You two aren't planning to spend the Spring Festival together this year?"
"Yeah." Silas Grant put his phone down. "I can't make the time."
Simon Adler nodded. "That's true. You're busy with the old gentleman's funeral."
The funeral fell right during the Spring Festival. At this rate, it looked like neither Silas Grant nor Hayes Hughes would be able to go home.
Mia Grant hadn't expected to be so popular. With the Spring Festival approaching, she had received invitations from many people.
She certainly didn't need to worry about having nowhere to go.
Of course, she hadn't even considered that issue this year.
After politely declining old Mr. Donovan's invitation, Mia Grant walked out of the mall, bags in hand.
