'But with Yates Donovan's unstable mind, there was no guarantee he hadn't spouted a bunch of nonsense.'
Mia Grant took a deep breath and probed, "When did you two get so close? Aren't you worried he's lying to you?"
"I would almost hope he was lying to me. But it's fine. As long as you're safe, that's all that matters."
