Sunxiao immediately reverted to his beast form and carried Qiao Xixi in pursuit.
Qiao Xixi held the Lighting Device, searching in Xiya's direction. Soon, she spotted a gigantic Mutated Octopus Beast clinging to the inside of a deep trench.
Xiya was gripped by one of its tentacles.
"Mother..."
The Mutated Octopus Beast moved with incredible speed. Even Sunxiao couldn't catch up to it.
To Qiao Xixi's surprise, the Mutated Octopus Beast suddenly darted into a crevice in the trench. Just as it was about to vanish, Sunxiao accelerated, whipping his long tail and striking hard against the tentacle the beast hadn't retracted in time.
A loud CRACK echoed, shaking the rock walls of the trench.
Xiya broke free and swam quickly toward Qiao Xixi and Sunxiao.
"Xiya!"
Terrified, Qiao Xixi pulled her into a hug. 'This godsforsaken place is too dangerous! One moment of distraction and disaster strikes!'
