"Is this a case of infighting?"
That was the first thing that came to Heath Hale's mind when he heard the news.
Director Miller had only questioned a neighbor, which confirmed his and Heath Hale's suspicion, but he hadn't taken any further action.
But just a short while later, they received an anonymous text message about a man acting strangely.
And it just happened to be the very man they were about to arrest. The coincidence was too great; it was hard not to suspect infighting.
"Let's not worry about whether it's infighting for now. Let's just catch the guy first," Evan Keller said, waggling his phone.
Before he even got back to the office, he had already notified the officers in that jurisdiction to bring the man in.
If all went well, they should hear something in about half an hour.
Sure enough, less than half an hour later, Evan Keller received a call from Director Miller.
