Keith Garrison's voice was filled with impatience. Without another word, he snapped the bomb collar onto Ray Reid's neck.
Then he gave the chain a hard tug.
A look of smug satisfaction filled his eyes as he watched Ray Reid lurch forward, unable to control his own body.
'So satisfying. Just so damn satisfying.'
Ray Reid's eyes were fixed on the collar, and he wished for nothing more than to tear it off. But his hands were useless, and he could only watch helplessly as the device was fastened around his neck.
Keith Garrison squatted in front of Ray Reid and patted his cheek. His voice was laced with amusement. "I don't mind telling you the password. It's simple, really. It's the emergency number.
"Too bad you don't seem to be in any position to unlock it, hmm?"
The collar's keypad was on the back of his neck. Even if Ray Reid's hands were fully functional, he wouldn't have been able to unlock it—let alone in his current state.
