Kane Lloyd scanned the room but didn't see Rose Jennings. There were only two police officers.
In that instant, a vicious thought sprang to mind. 'If I just chop these two up, won't that be revenge for them locking me away for all those years?!'
The more he thought about it, the more tempting it became. Kane Lloyd tightened his grip on the axe, his body bending slightly as he prepared to strike.
"Don't move! Police!"
Of course, the other two officers weren't about to wait for their doom. They fluidly drew their service weapons and aimed them at Kane Lloyd.
The officers lying in wait in the other rooms also rushed out, surrounding the entire room.
Because of Kane Lloyd's previous brutal methods, everyone on tonight's mission was armed. They were afraid that being under-equipped would allow him to escape.
