Faye Vaughn narrowed her eyes. Liam Linden was holding a plastic sniper rifle.
It looked childish, like a toy for a little kid.
But she knew it wasn't that simple.
The body of the gun was probably covered in a special coating material for camouflage.
Liam Linden propped the plastic sniper rifle on the deck's railing, aiming at the docks.
Faye Vaughn suddenly reached out, placing her hand over the back of his to stop him. "Are you going to assassinate Wyatt Hawthorne?"
Liam Linden looked up at her and said flatly, "You think I can kill him with this toy gun?"
But Faye was certain. "If you want to, you definitely can."
Liam Linden watched her silently, a mix of emotions swirling within him.
His whole life, everyone had treated him like trash.
Even his own mother didn't think he had much potential, always telling him that tinkering with his useless junk was a waste of time and that he'd be better off working a few more jobs.
Only Faye Vaughn firmly believed he was different.
