Liam Linden's gaze darkened as he stared at his phone screen. 'Is Wyatt Hawthorne just trying to scare me, or has he really found us?'
'If he'd really found us, with Wyatt Hawthorne's connections and resources, he would have shown up to take us by force already.'
'So, he's most likely bluffing.'
Liam Linden thought for a few seconds before replying: [Then make your move.]
He stuffed the phone back into his pocket, and when he looked up, he met Faye Vaughn's sparkling eyes.
"Who was that?" she asked.
"Just an unimportant message," Liam Linden replied nonchalantly.
"Is that so?" Faye Vaughn looked thoughtful.
She didn't press him further. Instead, she called out to her system in her mind. 'Seven, didn't you say you could monitor all the data in this world after your upgrade?'
System Seven replied in its child-like voice, [Yes, Host! I'm super powerful now!]
Faye tossed out a casual compliment. 'You're amazing. Help me check who just sent Liam Linden a message.'
