A scream caught in Faye Vaughn's throat. The force of Wyatt Hawthorne's palm smacking her bottom sent a tremor through her voice. "Wyatt... Wyatt Hawthorne!"
'A man's need to win should never be underestimated. She'd provoked him into using brute force!'
Wyatt Hawthorne pinned her by the waist and hips with one hand. Tall and long-legged, he strode out of the restaurant and into the elevator.
Faye defiantly pounded on his back, her voice still laced with provocation. "Did you see from the security room how many seconds it took me to unbuckle your brother's belt?"
"Shut up."
Wyatt Hawthorne ripped off his tie with one hand and mercilessly shoved it into her mouth, silencing her grating words.
Slung over his shoulder, Faye grabbed the tie and threw it to the ground. "Why should I shut up? You can go on a date with my 'good friend,' so I can go on a date with your brother. It's only fair."
Wyatt Hawthorne was in no mood to explain.
