Only then did he raise his voice to speak to Vivian Windsor. "Have you called the police? Should I call an ambulance for you?"
Vivian Windsor's faint voice came through the phone. "Wyatt, I've been in a car accident. Are you really going to leave me here all alone? Where are you right now?"
Wyatt Hawthorne restrained the young woman who was deliberately trying to arouse him and replied in a deep voice, "I'm at The Elysian Hotel, not far from Riverbend Crossing."
Vivian Windsor's tone brightened with delight. "Then hurry over..."
But Wyatt Hawthorne asked, "You had an accident on a busy street. Why haven't the traffic police arrived yet?"
On the other end of the line, Vivian Windsor was silent for a few seconds.
'She had intentionally rear-ended the car in front of her. It was just a minor fender-bender.'
