Just as Faye Vaughn was about to nod, someone hurried over from a short distance away.
Vivian Windsor, clad in a hospital gown, looked somewhat haggard and frail. She called out softly, "Wyatt, Vince..."
Wyatt Hawthorne and Vincent Hawthorne turned their heads in unison.
Faye Vaughn watched the two of them with amusement. Wyatt Hawthorne's expression was impassive, betraying no emotion, but Vincent Hawthorne was a little tense. He glanced at Vivian Windsor, then back at Faye.
"Lawyer Hawthorne, you go ahead and take care of things," Faye Vaughn said unhurriedly, offering a slight smile. "We can reschedule."
She then looked toward Wyatt Hawthorne. "Thank you for your trouble, Mr. Hawthorne."
With that, she walked straight to Wyatt Hawthorne's car.
The driver got out of his seat and looked respectfully at Wyatt Hawthorne. Seeing his boss's signal, he opened the rear passenger door for Faye Vaughn to get in.
