Back at her apartment, Faye Vaughn washed up and put on her disguise.
She transformed herself into "Audrey Kensington" before sending Vincent Hawthorne a message: "I can be at the bar in half an hour."
Vincent Hawthorne replied almost instantly: "Are you sure you don't want me to pick you up?"
'If he comes to pick me up, he might run into Wyatt Hawthorne's driver.'
Faye replied: "No need. I'll see you at the bar."
She grabbed her bag and headed out.
The bar where Vincent had asked to meet was called "Isle of Bacchus."
It had recently become very famous. Rumor had it that the scion of a wealthy family had started it as a business venture, and the interior was incredibly luxurious.
As Faye stepped out of the taxi, she saw Vincent Hawthorne waiting for her under an outdoor patio umbrella, dressed in a sharp suit.
She waved to him from a distance, her lips curling into a radiant smile.
Vincent walked toward her, his heart skipping a beat.
