Celeste Grant gently touched the side of her cheek. She looked up at the sky, a smile gracing her face.
"Come back soon."
Nerida, who was standing beside her, looked around in confusion. "My Lady, who are you talking to?" She hadn't sensed anyone nearby at all!
'Could it be The Exalted One?'
Nerida looked at Celeste Grant, her expression one of instant comprehension. "My Lady, were you talking to The Exalted One?"
Celeste Grant smiled faintly and nodded.
"Yes. Who else could it be?"
"It really was The Exalted One! Then where is he?"
"He's not here." Celeste Grant placed a hand on Nerida's shoulder and said softly, "Your Exalted One went to The Ninefold Abyss. His true body is there. Now that this part of him has returned, he's gone to perform a Primordial Spirit Fusion with his main body."
