Celeste Grant smiled faintly.
Looking at Jocelyn Grant's terrified face, she spoke gently, a smile on her lips.
"Don't be afraid. It won't hurt."
She twirled the dagger in her hand as she spoke. "Oh, right. You have to hold still. This is my first time digging out a Spirit Root, so I'm a little out of practice. If you move, and my hand slips just a little... you might die. We need to cooperate. It'll be over quickly. I'll let you go as soon as I'm done."
