Chapter 5 - Chapter 005: The Unspoken Challenge

[IMPORTANT MESSAGE! READ BEFORE PROCEEDING!!!]

A/N: Hey guys! Carnes here to clear up some misunderstandings and also introduce a suggested idea that was brought up to me yesterday. Firstly, this entire universe is an altered one. Meaning I will be introducing more villains, even more powerful than AFO and also be introducing heroes that hail from beyond Japan! Secondly, Deku. My personal opinion on Deku is that his potential is absolutely wasted. I think that OFA should have altered his physiology to quicker adapt to its power and well that's what I'm trying to showcase here.

This is why he is taller than his original version and is also far more bulkier. His personality was an influence of Ryūjin, so expect a fiery chaoticness when it comes to his brawls.

Lastly! What do you guys think about Ryūjin forming a harem? It wouldn't be a catch em all one, more of a reserved and carefully picked one that held up to four or maybe five girls? You guys get to decide which girls via polls—I just want to know if you guys want one or not so just reply to the yes or no option below.

Yes.

No.

Alright back to the story!!!

Side by side—Ryūjin and Izuku ran together. Emerald colored lightning coiled around Izuku's figure whereas sharp gusts of wind concentrated around Ryūjin.

"You ready?" Ryūjin asked with a smile—up in front of them stood several figures. They were the One Pointers, figures that stood on singular wheels and had mechanical upper bodies.

Izuku smirked, his figure charged forward faster—He did not respond, his advancing figure answering for him. "Good to see that he still got the Quirk!" Ryūjin laughed as his legs bulged, his muscles tensing even further—BOOM!

He vanished into the distance, overtaking Izuku as he appeared in front of three One Pointers. His shoulders, like boulders, tightened as he slammed into them collectively.

KA-BOOM!!!

A large explosion rang out in triple succession as he tore through the metallic fragments that lingered. A chaotic smile hung on his lips—his body turning towards two more into the distance.

He stepped again, this time taking on a practiced stance—both his breathing and body language began changing.

Iron Edict's Fourth Cycle—

King's Engine.

His legs tightened—muscles coiled like springs before they began vibrating rapidly, generating a drum-like melody from his beating muscles and pumping blood.

Then, he simply vanished once more. The moment he reappeared—he had his legs rising in a windmill kick as he began spinning. His thick right leg then tore through the first robot—his tracksuit visibly tearing as he connected with the second robot's head.

VOOM!

BOOM!!!

BANG!

What followed after the sound of explosions was simply chaos. The second robot had its head crushed in—it soared through the air and collided with two other robots.

At that very same moment Izuku appeared above—his leg stationed in an axe kick as he began a speedy—almost too heavy of a descent.

He mouthed a few words, his eyes a fiery blaze of emerald colored light.

Emerald Edict's Fifth Cycle—Sky Feller!

THRUM

SWOOSH!

BOOM!!!

His thick, heavy calf and hamstring boosted the weight of the attack—OFA only furthering the brutality as his axe kick met with the center-most robot. It was then flattened—a large and overwhelming explosion followed right after, swallowing the other two robots in succession.

Midoriya Izuku—3 points up.

Hanma Ryūjin—5 points up.

The students that managed to catch up dispersed—but the battle ahead, the one where the two who had greeted each other so brazenly, only drew their attention.

"Those guys are terrifying!" Some said agreeing—others neither denied it. They fanned out and pressed on—taking down robots in joint efforts, not daring to take them on alone like Ryūjin or Izuku.

Back on Ryūjin's side, both he and Izuku decided to split—he would focus on his left whereas Izuku would do the right. Ryūjin laughed as he met head on with the other One Pointers tearing through them with his refined martial arts. Finally however—he came across a new enemy.

The Three Pointer!

It stood taller, far larger than the One Pointers and the yet to be seen Two Pointer. Ryūjin cackled low and dangerously. "You're not supposed to be here yet, big guy. Seems like your big brother is already on the move huh." He stated as his figure boomed up to match the head height of the machinery.

His arms cocked back—his muscles hardened and tensed before finally—two large fists were thrown out in an even pace of momentum.

Iron Edict's Fifth Cycle—

—Great Collapse!

BOOM!

The fists fell neatly atop the surface of the robot yet in an instance—the surface caved in dramatically as a ring of compressed air shot out from the back of the Three Pointer's head. Then as if on cue, the body lifted as it was sent flying back into the distance, crashing into the terrain ahead.

It lay there—somehow only damaging the road and not even scraping a single building. It had been utterly decimated.

Hanma Ryūjin—23 points up.

Away from the chaotic scene—the monitor room had fallen silent before the unfurled chaos of the two young boys. Aizawa picked up his pen and began to jut down—he then spoke in a somewhat tensed tone.

"Ryūjin has displayed immense physical capabilities—matching that of Izuku. Both are seen to have very similar martial arts with just slight differences. Both are physical monstrosities. Any thoughts?"

Those around allowed his words to hang a bit more within the air—they observed and thought.

Then—

"It's simply amazing. Their output is not entirely due to their brute strength but also due to their energy distribution. They use their Quirks like veterans—that's an insane advantage amongst kids their age." Vlad King spoke in a tone of appreciation.

"Indeed—The output is extremely well contained, the aftermath is what isn't. They fight like predators on a hunt—they dismantle and decimate the robots ruthlessly whilst still maintaining a flashy air around their techniques. If that isn't an added effect on heroic flare I don't know what is." Nezu chuckled, his tone amusing.

"They're both cute as well—Good looks and strong Quirks? Looks like this year of U.A is going to be something to look forward to~" A sweet, almost seductively attractive voice sounded out softly.

Yet—all heroes around heard it. They deadpanned as some turned to stare at the R-Rated Heroine—Midnight otherwisely known as Nemuri Kayama.

All Might smiled ignoring those around him—expecting no less from his successor and his rival. A pride was seen in those eyes before he turned his gaze elsewhere. To another screen.

"These other students aren't so bad as well. Behind Izuku and Ryūjin, we have Katsuki Bakugo and Eijiro Kirishima.

Bakugo's almost keeping up with them, his Quirk is also a terrifying one.

As for Kirishima, he's neck and neck with Bakugo—they seem to be locked in a fierce challenge.

Kirishima's temperament is good as observed thus far, the problem however was with Baku—"

At that moment, All Might's words were cut off. Nezu chimed in, overtaking his detailed analysis.

"Bakugo. His mentality. That is his ultimate downfall." At those words, all gathered Pro Heroes couldn't help but nod, some grunting in expression.

Aizawa sighed, he could practically sense the approaching headache this year.

"My caffeine intake is about to skyrocket…"

He said almost exasperated already. Some teachers sympathized with him, others merely chuckled dryly.

'The expenses!' Was all they could think of at that moment.

Back to the false city—Bakugo had now caught up with Izuku and Ryūjin. He turned to Izuku, anger evident in his gaze. "HEY! Deku!! Don't think you're better than me just because you awakened your Quirk! I'm going to beat your ass, kill you and steal first place!"

His declaration was loud and arrogant—none denied his words though, fearing he'd snap on them.

Izuku looked towards him, he'd just now cleared several Three Pointers along with the scorpion shaped Two Pointers. His smile was predatory and his eyes were low—Ryūjin's personality had really impacted this version of Izuku.

"Bring it on, explosion boy!"

And with that, he blurred in a flashing succession of emerald and muffled booms.

Bakugo grounded his teeth at the blatant provocation—"The hell you call me?!" He blasted forth, his anger reaching new ceilings as he attempted to trail behind Izuku.

However just as he was to propel himself further, a dashing blur of red shot out from behind him, tearing into a nearby group of Two Pointers.

Kirishima laughed as his body transformed immediately. He decimated them one by one, garnering points repeatedly before he shouted at Bakugo.

"What's the matter boom box?? You slowing down on me?! That's not manly at all!"

Bakugo halted himself before launching over to his side, clearly aiming towards taking the rest of Kirishima's spoils.

"I'll show you, you rock faced bastard!!!"

BOOM!

________

On the other side—Ryūjin met with other students, decreasing his output as he swooped in to save those who were being overpowered by the increasing robotic wave.

"The hell is up with this exam? It's way more intense than I remembered." He muttered in low breaths—he held a short girl in his arms as he jumped back to safety.

Releasing her he turned—in front of him was an oncoming number of Two Pointers and Three Pointers. He crouched low—utilizing his technique: King's Engine as he practically flew forth in slingshot momentum, colliding head on with the advancing robotics.

His martial art—Iron Edict—was now utilized to its maximum potential. This was a martial art he'd developed alongside Izuku who took inspiration from him to develop one of his own—Emerald Edict.

A martial art that closely mirrored his, the only difference being the level of adaptability between the two. If they were to compare it side by side, Ryūjin's own would win. It was no debate.

But it's not like it wouldn't be countered upon clashing, making Izuku's own martial art equally terrifying.

"Huu~" Ryūjin sucked in a deep breath as he moved almost instantaneously against the oncoming robotics.

Left.

Right.

Counter.

Parry.

Ryūjin's techniques blasted out in full succession as move after move was executed as robots fell in piles of scrap.

His points rose—he was approaching the 80's in terms of villain points alone—his rescues already standing firmly at 45 points.

Slowly the wave began to die down as he slaughtered endlessly.

"Haah, Haah…" His breath was heavy—yet the light within his golden eyes had never dimmed. Beneath him now stood a large pile of scrap metal—the mechanical corpses of his enemies lay coldly beneath his feet.

BOOM—

"Huh…?"

BOOM—

BOOM—

The ground shook—shockwaves growing by the second. Debris continued to fall from nearby collapsed buildings as the tremors grew steadily yet dangerously ominous.

Then—

BOOM—

—BOOM!

"There you are—" Ryūjin laughed through his words, his canines gleaming wildly as a dark and large shadow suddenly loomed over him. There it stood, towering above him in all its mechanical glory—a Zero Pointer.

Not far from behind him, a slight trembling of the ground could be heard. It was low but it was felt by him.

Ryūjin knew immediately who this was. "Yo, Izuku! Wanna take a swing at it?"

"Nah—I just took down one myself, Ochaco-san was nearly flattened." He said as he settled behind Ryūjin, his figure tall. Ryūjin laughed at that—he cracked his neck before finally—he moved.

Swish—

Gusts of wind now flew out, sharper, denser. Ryūjin soared into the air—his right elbow swinging forth brutally as his muscles tightened harder than ever before.

Iron Edict's Seventh Cycle—

Crushing Overthrow!

Time slowed—his elbow, hardened beyond anything before, slammed into the face of the robot. In that moment a devastating boom rippled out—rings of pressurized air bloomed into existence at that moment as the Zero Pointer's head split open.

KA-BOOM!!!

A white line appeared on his elbow—merely a scratch. The surrounding students' felt their jaws drop. They were utterly stupefied.

"H-Holy hell! Did you see that guy?!" One screamed.

"Why did he even bother with it?! Doesn't he know it's worth nothing at all?" Another bellowed in confusion and awe.

"Just a damn showoff is what he is!!" Some screamed indignant.

Ryūjin landed a few meters away from the scenery—Izuku running up to him as suddenly a loud and booming voice intercepted the rising commotion.

"TIME'S UP!!! THE U.A ENTRANCE EXAM IS OVER BABY!!! WHAT SPECTACULAR DISPLAYS OF POWER AND MIGHT! GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL—I WISH NOTHING BUT THE BEST FOR YOU GUYS AS YOU ALL AWAIT YOUR LETTERS!!! GO UP AND BEYOND—PLUS ULTRA!"

Present Mic's voice was its usual ear deafening tone—his words signifying the end of the exam. Soon after—medical teams rushed in to collect the injured whereas those that were well enough to move left the city—heading for their houses with their heads high.

They'd done it. They took the entrance exam and finished it. Izuku and Ryūjin regrouped with Ochaco, her eyes a sparkling wonder as she recounted both Izuku's and Ryūjin's battle. They laughed and chatted before parting at the train station.

All that remained now was Izuku and Ryūjin.

"Well—you coming over to have dinner or nah?" Ryūjin asked with a smile. Izuku shook his head with an apologetic smile. "Can't do it, Ryū. Mom's probably worried sick—I'll go home today, just to ease her heart."

Ryūjin chuckled and shook his head, "Don't apologize man, I get it. Let's go, our train's here." Ryūjin smiled as he gave a rough pat onto Izuku's back. They chatted and laughed as they both began to recount the years they spent apart training.

Then, a peaceful silence was lifted to them.

As Ryūjin settled in on the train, a certain pink haired bubble of energy crossed his mind. He smiled slightly.

'I wonder how you're doing, Mina.' Ryūjin thought as he looked out into the distance of the moving train.
