Chapter 217 - If This Breaks, Everything Breaks

"There's something I need to tell you," he said, his tone grave. Each word echoed softly, piercing the silence. "One of the greatest secrets of this world."

He stepped closer, until his shadow merged with Kaivan's on the floor. His gaze sharpened, like steel drawn bare.

"Have you ever heard of Gog and Magog? Or Ya'juj and Ma'juj in Islamic teachings? Beings sealed behind an iron wall—am I right?"

Kaivan lowered his head. "Yes. A wall built by Alexander the Great… or Dhu al-Qarnayn, to imprison them."

Levan curved his lips into a thin smile. "Correct. But what few people know is that the wall was not built by humans alone. At that time, a user of the Tome Omnicraft helped create it. Dhu al-Qarnayn had a trusted aide—the bearer of Omnicraft—who ensured the wall would endure for thousands of years."

Kaivan narrowed his eyes, his thoughts racing. "So… even now, the wall is still guarded by users of the Tome Omnicraft?"

Levan nodded slowly, his hands clasped behind his back, as if holding back something heavy. "Exactly. And Fabrizio here is one of those successors."

Fabrizio's face remained calm, but his eyes carried countless untold stories.

"As a guardian, he ensures the wall remains intact. Because if that wall were ever to fall…"

Levan paused, letting the silence speak for him.

Kaivan drew a long breath. His voice was low, but firm. "…then this world would fall with it."

Suddenly, Fabrizio spoke in Georgian—harsh and heavy, each syllable sounding like an ancient incantation.

Levan translated softly. "He says he wants to learn from you, Kaivan. Fabrizio wishes to use the power of the Tome Omnicent to obtain a clearer blueprint—so that one day, he can be free from the duty of guarding the wall, without truly abandoning it."

Kaivan looked at Fabrizio. For the first time, he did not see a threat—but someone else imprisoned by a fate he never chose.

"So that's why I was called here now," Kaivan murmured.

Levan gave a small nod. "There's another reason as well. We want to train you to understand the Tome of Omnicent more deeply. This Tome… is different. There are no clear records of its origin, except for its mysterious appearance in Indonesia in the 1970s."

Kaivan stared at him sharply. "Indonesia…? So something in my country called that Tome?"

His grip tightened around his bag. He whispered, almost to himself, "The Tome of Omnicent has only ever been in my hands. Since I awakened it, I've seen the past and the future… but never in full."

Fragments flashed through his mind—

A world consumed by war. Cities collapsing. Colossal beings tearing their way out of the earth. Human blood staining the land like crimson ink.

Another vision followed. The world map shifting. Seas changing color. The sky fading. The sun hanging far too close.

Kaivan slowly opened his eyes. His breathing was heavy, as if he had just returned from a war that had not yet happened.

Silence settled over the underground chamber like fog. Somewhere in the distance, old machinery ticked on, each sound like a countdown to ruin. Pale neon light cast long shadows across the faces of the three standing there.

At last, Levan spoke. "That is why we want you to stay here for a while." His voice was calm, but beneath it lay a quiet hope. He leaned against an iron pillar, arms folded, his gaze piercing the cold air.

Kaivan looked up and saw Fabrizio step forward. His movements were slow, yet firm—like someone who had already made peace with his fate. A faint smile appeared on the boy's young face, bitter but resilient.

Fabrizio held out his hand. Kaivan hesitated for a moment, then took it. Two worlds met—cold and warmth, doubt and hope.

Kaivan opened his bag and took out an ancient book—the Tome of Omnicent. Its wooden cover was carved with grooves like the roots of time itself. The moment it was opened, unfamiliar letters emerged on the blank pages, moving like living ink, carving out the secrets of the world.

Kaivan asked his question in his heart, and at once the words formed:

"Can the wall that seals Gog and Magog be restored and reinforced?"

A few seconds passed. Then the answer appeared slowly, each letter bearing the weight of thousands of years of history:

"Yes. With the power of the Tome of Omnicraft, it is possible. However, there are two major obstacles. First, reconstructing the wall on such a massive scale requires immense resources. The Tome of Omnicraft can reshape existing elements, but it cannot create new ones. It only uses what already exists in this world. Unfortunately, the necessary natural resources have been severely depleted. Second, even if all materials were available, the process would require the partial destruction of the old wall. The greatest risk: the awakening of Gog and Magog. If the wall is weakened even slightly, the world will face unimaginable destruction."
