Chapter 106: Tobirama gets Roasted; The Legend of "Seisui Uchiha" Begins

The Uchiha Compound.

Surrounded by Fugaku and a phalanx of Three-Tomoe veterans, Tobirama (as Seisui)

and Shisui returned to the heart of the Uchiha territory.

Tobirama looked around with clinical curiosity. Even during his reign as Hokage,

he had rarely set foot in this sector. His only vivid memory of the place was

from the early days of the village when he had personally overseen the

"Strategic Relocation" of the Uchiha to the village perimeter to make room for

the Anbu headquarters.

Back then, he had come as a sovereign to apply pressure. He had never walked

these streets as a citizen.

In his previous life, his reputation within the clan was so toxic that if he had

appeared without a personal guard, a dozen Uchiha grandmothers would have likely

pelted him with rotten cabbage and eggs. And what could he have done? You can't

exactly use a Flying Raijin Slice on a senior citizen for a minor public

disturbance. A Hokage's power was absolute, but it was also a cage of "Face" and

protocol.

"This is Shisui's estate. It's quite spacious—passed down from the legendary

Kagami Uchiha," Fugaku explained, pointing to a well-maintained three-story

traditional home.

"Are there spare rooms?"

"Plenty! I live alone, so it's always felt a bit empty," Shisui said, his voice

brimming with excitement. "Brother, you can take the entire second floor! I'll

stay on the first."

Shisui's transition from "Lonely Orphan" to "Devoted Younger Brother" had

happened at lightning speed. The "Lost Son of the Uchiha"—with his striking

looks and sharp tongue—had completely bypassed Shisui's defenses. It fit the

boy's "Will of Fire" worldview perfectly: Everyone in the village is family,

but a real Uchiha brother is a gift from the Sage.

Fugaku caught the curious look in Seisui's eyes and allowed himself a smug grin.

The kid has been rot-gutting in a Grass prison for years. Walking into a

high-tier noble compound must feel like stepping into a palace. Poor brat

doesn't even know how rich his family is.

"It's your home now. Get used to the luxury," Fugaku said warmly. "In the old

days, our compound was even more grand. A real masterpiece of architecture. Pity

about what happened."

En Uchiha, the one-armed veteran, let out a low, bitter sigh. "Fugaku, you were

barely a toddler when we moved. You don't really remember the old compound, do

you?"

Fugaku shook his head. He had been born ten years after the village was founded.

"What happened to the old place?" Shisui asked innocently. "Why did we move?"

Tobirama's face remained a mask of indifference, but internally, his heart gave

a sharp jolt.

I know exactly where this is going.

"What the hell do you think happened?" En spat, his voice sounding like it had

been dipped in vinegar. "That silver-haired bastard, Tobirama Senju, 'rezoned'

us! He tore down our ancestral halls under the guise of village expansion!"

"The man acted like he was going to flood the whole compound if we didn't move!

And the worst part? He 'dissolved' the Senju clan right before he did it to make

it look fair!"

"He sent half the Senju to the Academy as teachers and the other half to the

capital as noble advisors. Only a handful of them actually married outsiders. It

was the most cynical, manipulative move in history! The old dog was a genius of

spite—thank the Sage he's dead and buried!"

"The Sage is just," another veteran chimed in. "Evil men don't get long lives."

The surrounding Uchiha all grumbled their agreement, each throwing in a creative

insult toward the late Second Hokage.

Tobirama focused on keeping his facial muscles from twitching.

He was not used to being roasted to his face. In his past life, seeing the

Uchiha rage in intelligence reports actually gave him a sense of

accomplishment—it meant his policies were working. But hearing a one-armed

veteran call him an "Old Dog" from five feet away was a different kind of

experience.

How typical, Tobirama thought. Unreliable emotional outbursts and historical

revisionism. They really haven't changed at all.

"The man was a menace to the Uchiha," Fugaku sighed, shaking his head. "A

strategist who used his own family as a sacrifice just to box us in. Mass

intermarriage was a trap designed to dilute our bloodline."

"You underestimate him," a new voice cut in.

Isshin Uchiha walked up, his eyes sharp. "Do you think Tobirama Senju didn't

know the consequences? He knew the Senju were a diverse clan to begin with.

Their 'purity' was never their strength—their versatility was."

"The Uchiha, however, are a closed system. Intermarriage affects our stability.

Tobirama understood our biology better than we did. The man was a low-life and a

villain, but his brain? That was the real thing."

Tobirama smirked internally. The enemy's recognition is always sweeter than a

friend's praise. He made a mental note to keep a very close eye on Isshin. This

old fox was more dangerous than he looked; he had actually decrypted the subtext

of the Second's domestic policies.

"Is it wrong to speak of a Hokage like that?" Shisui asked quietly. "Surely he

had his reasons... even if we don't understand them?"

The other Uchiha sighed, looking at Shisui with pity. They were used to his

"Village-First" attitude.

Tobirama was pleased. Kagami's line really is the only one with any common

sense. I didn't waste my time with this brother.

Isshin noticed Seisui's thoughtful expression and decided to test the boy's

mind. "Seisui, you've heard the history. If you were leading the clan back then,

and you knew the silver-haired bastard was setting a trap, what would you have

done?"

Fugaku frowned. "Is there even an answer? We were trapped between the Hokage's

decree and the village's law."

"It's not that complicated," Seisui (Tobirama) replied casually.

"The Second Hokage used the dissolution of the Senju as his leverage. He relied

on the fact that the Uchiha valued their 'Blood Purity' too much to follow suit.

He expected you to resist so he could label you as isolationists."

"The solution was Malicious Compliance."

Isshin leaned in, his eyes widening. "Explain."

"If he says 'dissolve for the sake of the village,' then you dissolve," Seisui

said with a cold, analytical shrug. "You don't just intermarry with civilians.

You demand to marry into the other Great Clans. You flood the Sarutobi, the

Nara, and the Hyūga with Uchiha blood."

"If every clan in the village suddenly has a Sharingan user in their family

tree, Tobirama's 'segregation' becomes impossible. He would have to stop his own

policy to save his allies' bloodlines. You win by being more 'Leaf' than the

Hokage himself."

Fugaku stared at the teenager, his jaw hanging open. What a terrifying thought.

We would have 'Infected' the entire village!

"You... you really are a monster of a genius," Fugaku whispered, his respect for

the boy skyrocketing.

Tobirama looked at Fugaku with a frown of genuine concern. "Thank you for the

rescue, Uncle. But I have to say... you really should work on your tactical

thinking. That took me three seconds to figure out."

Fugaku felt a physical blow to his pride. He slumped into a state of

"Depression-Mode," looking like a wilted plant. Am I really a brainless old man?

I'm a High Commissioner!

"AH! MARVELOUS! TRULY MARVELOUS!"

Isshin Uchiha erupted into a boisterous laugh, his three-tomoe Sharingan

spinning with excitement.

I hit the jackpot! Isshin thought, his eyes nearly tearing up with joy. A genius

with Izuna's face AND Tobirama's brain? The ancestors have finally sent us a

Savior!

The other Uchiha watched Seisui with newfound awe. A "Smart Uchiha" was a rare

and precious resource. They were already imagining the look on Danzo's face when

this kid entered the political arena.

"Alright, everyone! Back to your posts!" Fugaku shouted, recovering from his

slump. "Don't let Danzo catch you slacking! We have a guest to settle in!"

The veterans nodded, offering Seisui encouraging smiles and "thumbs-ups" before

departing.

"You too, Fugaku. Get out. Don't let your 'average' brain contaminate these

boys," Isshin barked, hitting Fugaku with his cane. "Go finish those history

scrolls I assigned you before you try to talk to Seisui again! It's for your

son's sake!"

Fugaku nodded sheepishly and bolted.

Inside Shisui's home, Isshin was a whirlwind of activity. He helped Seisui

arrange his room and brought over a mountain of restricted scrolls—Ninjutsu,

History, Blade-Arts—a literal library of Uchiha heritage.

"Learn at your own pace, Seisui," Isshin beamed. "If you hit a wall, you come to

me. I'll help you master our legacy in no time!"

Tobirama nodded. "Thank you. When do I begin my duties as a ninja?"

"Don't rush. I'm enrolling you in the Academy next week," Isshin said. "The new

curriculum is far superior to the garbage Tobirama set up. You need to build a

foundation and get your strength back."

"Plus... you'll meet the future leaders of the village there. Make them your

friends. Build your... 'Cabinet.'"

Isshin wanted to say "Unit," but he realized Seisui was a natural leader. He

wanted the boy to have a political base.

"The Academy?" Tobirama's brow furrowed. I founded that school. Now I have to

attend it? This is getting ridiculous.

But he was curious to see how Hiruzen had "improved" his system.

"One more thing, Elder," Seisui said, feigning a boy's curiosity. "You seem to

despise the Second Hokage quite a bit."

"Despise? He was a low-life rat!" Isshin spat instantly.

"And the Third? He was his student. Can he be trusted?"

Isshin hesitated. He thought of Hiruzen's "Heart-to-Heart" by the Hokage Rock.

"His name is Hiruzen Sarutobi," Isshin sighed.

"I hate to admit it... but he might be the only man who truly inherited the

First Hokage's spirit. He's stepped out of the shadow of his master. He doesn't

look at us like a scientist looking at a bug."

"For now... respect him. He is a rival for power, yes. But he is not an enemy.

He's earned that much."

Tobirama listened, his heart a mix of pride and annoyance.

He's managed to get a 'Good Reputation' among the Uchiha? Tobirama grit his

teeth. I can practically hear Hashirama's ghost laughing in my ear: 'See,

Tobirama? The Monkey is more like me than you!'

I'll see for myself just what you've done with my village, Saru, Tobirama vowed.

Shisui tugged on Seisui's sleeve, breaking his train of thought. "Brother, we're

going to school together tomorrow! It'll be great!"

"But be careful. The other students are very strong. Don't get discouraged!"

Shisui warned. "Especially the Yellow-Haired Monster."

Tobirama raised an eyebrow. "Yellow hair? Is he a prodigy?"

"He's terrifying!" Shisui whispered. "He acts all nice and sunny, but he's a

beast in a fight. He mastered a jutsu called the Flying Raijin. I heard some

students say he 'perfected' it himself!"

Perfected...?

The "Copyright" alarm in Tobirama's head went off like a siren.

"I look forward to meeting this... 'inventor,'" Seisui said, a very familiar,

toothy smile appearing on his Uchiha face.
