Tori's POV
My eyes were fixated on the ceiling as the memories came rushing back all at once, flooding my mind so heavily that for a moment, it felt like I was drowning in them.
Every second replayed itself vividly, every detail sharper than I wanted it to be, and I hadn't even noticed that there were people in the room with me until much later.
My body felt heavy.
I tried to move, but the moment I shifted even slightly, a sharp, subtle pain spread through my belly, forcing a quiet breath out of me as my fingers curled weakly against the bed.

Her face appeared in my mind so suddenly that my chest tightened, my brows pulling together as confusion and disbelief settled in again.
Why would she do something like that to me?
What exactly had I done to deserve it?
She didn't look like someone who would try to kill me without a reason.
