Chapter 377 - Chapter 365: The Three Spider-Men Reunite

Seeing Wanda, Carol was stunned for a moment, then said happily, "Great, finally there's someone I know."

Besides knowing Wanda, Carol also noticed that Wanda seemed not to have lost her abilities.

When she flew down just now, dark red light was coming from both her hands. That was magical light.

Stephen had said that Wanda used chaos magic. She was a witch.

Carol could not tell the difference between a sorcerer and a witch, but seeing that Wanda could still use magic in this strange town, she could not help but feel relieved.

That way, no matter what they encountered, they would not be completely helpless.

Back when they fought Thanos, she had heard that Wanda had almost defeated Thanos by herself.

If Thanos had not ordered the warships to bombard the area with everything they had, perhaps none of what happened afterward would have happened.

So Carol still had confidence in Wanda's strength.

She got out of the car and said to Wanda, "Did you enter this town by accident too?"

Carol walked forward and reached out. Sure enough, she touched something like an air wall.

Carol took two steps back and said, "This town is strange. I don't know if you've noticed, but the people in town are like wind-up toys. They only move according to a preset program."

"On my way here, I met a man who could only repeat a few sentences."

"And my abilities have disappeared in this town."

"But fortunately, you still have magic."

"You sorcerers really are amazing."

"Can you take me out of here?"

"I have important work to do now."

Wanda shook her head and said, "You shouldn't have come here."

"Why do you keep disturbing me?"

"I've already tried my best to stay away from you."

Carol was stunned. She could not understand what Wanda meant, "I didn't want to disturb you. No, I didn't even know where you were."

"Also, what do you mean by 'tried my best to stay away'?"

Wanda looked at Carol, and a little red light lit up in her eyes.

"I don't have time to explain this to you."

"Vision is still waiting for me. We also have a community event to attend later."

Carol was stunned again.

She knew about Vision.

Although she had never met him in person.

But she had heard Stephen and the others mention that Vision was a super robot who originally carried the Mind Stone.

Wanda and Vision gradually came together because they shared the same interests, and fell in love.

Carol could not understand why Wanda would like a robot.

Nor could she understand how a robot could give Wanda love.

But those were not the important points.

The important point was.

Thanos's arrival took the Mind Stone away and destroyed Vision at the same time.

Therefore, Vision should already be dead.

Could it be that Wanda had developed mental problems because she missed her lover too much?

No, that was also possible.

She had been affected by this town.

The town had implanted false memories in her, making her believe that Vision was still alive.

Combining that with her own experience, Carol came up with the guess closest to the answer.

"Wanda, you should leave with me."

"There is something wrong with this town. When I arrived, false memories were implanted in me."

"I became a woman named Kalori, and whoever is controlling things behind the scenes even gave me the background of a retired movie star."

"You must be the same."

"Although this may be cruel to say to you, Wanda, Vision is gone."

"Do you remember Thanos?"

"He took the Mind Stone, and Vision was destroyed by him too."

Wanda suddenly screamed.

"Stop!"

She stepped back again and again and said, "No, Vision isn't dead."

"He's still alive."

"At least here, he's still alive!"

"As long as I'm here, he can live forever!"

"We can live here forever, happily."

"As long as you don't come and disturb us, we can live happily here!"

Carol looked at Wanda in disbelief.

"Wait."

"What did you say?"

"Vision is still alive?"

"As long as you're here, he can stay alive?"

"Could it be that all the strange things in this town are because of you?"

Wanda raised her head and said, "Looks like you don't like the retired movie star setting."

"You're still doing work like being a galactic police officer, aren't you?"

"Looks like, deep down, you still prefer being a police officer."

"Then this time, you'll appear as Miss Kalori, the Westview police officer. What do you think?"

Carol took a step back.

"Stop, Wanda. You're too sad to know what you're doing."

"The past can't be changed."

"The dead can't come back."

"What you're doing will only create an even greater tragedy."

Wanda laughed, and her smile was very sad, "So what?"

"This is the only dream I have left."

"So just let me stay immersed in this beautiful dream."

"Don't disturb me again before I wake up from the dream."

"Miss Kalori."

She waved a hand through the air.

A flash of dark red light passed through Carol's eyes.

Carol's consciousness immediately became blurry.

"Wait—"

She lost consciousness.

———

No one knew how long the blank state lasted.

The sound of the doorbell suddenly woke her.

"Officer Kalori, are you home?"

Carol came to her senses and walked toward the front door. As she passed a mirror, she saw herself in a police uniform in the mirror.

She opened the door. A young police officer was standing outside.

"Officer, it's time for us to go."

"The community event is about to start."

Carol smiled, "I know. Come on, let's go."

They drove a police car to the community park. A stage had already been set up on the lawn, along with a large number of seats.

Also, an ice cream truck and a crepe truck were parked nearby.

Carol took out a pair of black sunglasses and put them on, then entered the park and walked around casually.

Then she saw a beautiful woman with wavy hair wearing a magician's assistant costume, moving some props behind the stage with a man.

After putting down the props, the woman looked over and said with a smile, "Thank you for your hard work, Officer Kalori."

"It's what we're supposed to do, Ms. Wanda."

Carol smiled, "You look really beautiful today."

The woman showed a charming smile and smiled like a girl immersed in her beautiful dream, "Thank you."

———

It was already getting late.

The sun hung lazily in the western sky like an egg yolk, looking as if it would fall below the horizon at any moment.

On the Statue of Liberty, the original Spider-Man and the Amazing Spider-Man were sitting on the edge of the Statue of Liberty's torch.

"Do you think he'll come?"

"I'm a little worried about him. After all, he's still just a big kid." Amazing Spider-Man glanced at the pizza boxes beside them. "By the way, I really like their cheese bacon pizza."

The original Spider-Man nodded in agreement, "The smoked chicken-leg pizza is pretty good too."

He paused and then said, "I think he'll come. He doesn't seem like he's trying to make a show of things. He wants to use this opportunity to solve all the trouble he's caused."

"I'm telling you, he's serious."

Amazing Spider-Man shook his head and said, "So, it's also true that he wants revenge on Osborn."

"That Osborn is your enemy, right?"

"What kind of person is he?"

The original Spider-Man sighed and said, "Before I knew he was the Green Goblin, I respected him very much."

"He was the father of one of my friends."

"My best friend."

"Unfortunately, I had to kill him."

Amazing Spider-Man patted him on the shoulder, "There is also an Osborn in my universe."

"But he didn't become some Green Goblin. He died from a genetic disease."

"But he had a son, Harry. He was my best friend."

The original Spider-Man was stunned, "Harry?"

"Your friend is also named Harry?"

Amazing Spider-Man spread his hands, "No way."

He then laughed, "But since both our universes have an Osborn, it doesn't seem too hard to understand that both have a friend named Harry."

"The multiverse really is amazing."

"By the way, do you have a suit?"

"Or in your universe, is Spider-Man a superhero who wears a trench coat?"

The original Spider-Man lifted his T-shirt, revealing the Spider-Man suit underneath, "I often wear it on me. It's more convenient that way."

Amazing Spider-Man nodded with a smile, "Me too."

Suddenly, both of them seemed to sense something.

They jumped up at the same time.

Amazing Spider-Man said, "Now's the time for you to put on your suit."

The original Spider-Man took off his outer clothes and pants, revealing the Spider-Man suit he was wearing underneath.

Then they saw, in the distant sunset, a figure constantly swinging between the buildings.

A moment later, at the waist of the Statue of Liberty, a figure landed there.

It was Spider-Man of this universe, Peter Parker.

He was wearing a black suit, which seemed to represent his state of mind, or perhaps some kind of resolve.

Looking at that deep black, the original Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man exchanged a glance.

"Doesn't look too good," Amazing Spider-Man said.

The original Spider-Man held his mask and said, "Come on, let's go down and talk."

At the same time, Peter Parker, who had appeared on the Statue of Liberty, suddenly sensed something. He abruptly looked up and saw the original Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man climbing down.

"What the hell?"

That night, on the rooftop of Midtown School of Science and Technology, the one who had met these two Spider-Men was Homelander.

Peter Parker had not seen them.

So he found them unfamiliar and was surprised.

He had not expected that the magic would not only attract the enemies of the Spider-Men from other universes, but would even summon Spider-Men from other universes.

"Are you okay, Peter?"

Amazing Spider-Man asked with a friendly smile.

"I'm glad you're okay," the original Spider-Man also said.

Peter Parker took off his mask and slightly furrowed his brows. He found it strange. These two Spider-Men sounded as if they knew him.

But this was the first time he had seen them.

Peter Parker said warily, "What do you want?"

"You want the 'Returner' too? You don't want to go back to your original universes?"

Amazing Spider-Man hurriedly said, "No, no, we're here to help you."

"Do you remember what happened last night?"

"After Ms. Carol appeared, you left first, and then she used a magical beam to send us into the Sanctum Sanctorum."

Peter Parker shook his head, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"I only want to know your purpose."

The original Spider-Man said patiently, "Just as we said, we're here to help."

"Ms. Carol seems to have disappeared, so we reached an agreement with Mr. Stephen."

"We'll help you deal with Osborn and the others, and he'll let us out."

Peter Parker did not quite believe it, "You want to help me deal with Osborn?"

Amazing Spider-Man said with a smile, "You can't deal with that many people by yourself. Don't you think so?"

The original Spider-Man nodded, "You need us, Peter."

"We'll help you catch Osborn and the others, and we promise we'll leave here."

"Osborn, Otto, Marko."

Amazing Spider-Man continued, "And Max and Connors."

"And him and me."

"All of us will return to our original universes."

"But there's one condition."

The two Spider-Men looked at each other.

Then the original Spider-Man said solemnly, "I hope you can spare Osborn."

"Of course, I'm not pleading for mercy on his behalf."

"What he did can't be undone."

"But, Peter."

"Killing him won't bring back the people you love."

"We've all tried it, experienced it, and know the answer."

"So we don't want you to become like us."

"We don't want you to be swallowed by the darkness."

But Peter Parker firmly shook his head, "I've already been swallowed by the darkness."

"Thank you for your good intentions."

"I can agree to all the other conditions."

"But this one."

"No!"

Just then, the three Spider-Men seemed to sense something.

Then the original Spider-Man said, "Whatever it is, let's fight first and talk afterward."

"Even if it's three against five, I don't think we have much chance of winning."

At this moment, the sun had already dropped below the horizon.

The buildings in the distance began lighting up, but as soon as they lit up, the lights began flickering.

Then the lights there went out in patches.

"Max is here."

Amazing Spider-Man put on his mask, "He's my responsibility."

"You may not believe it, but Max used to be a warm guy."

"Until he fell into a tank of electric eels."

The original Spider-Man also put on his mask, "That sounds pretty bad."

Peter Parker thought for a moment, then opened his backpack and took out some things.

"I spent a day making these things. I hope they can counter those guys."

Seeing him take several devices and potions out of his backpack, the original Spider-Man and Amazing Spider-Man were both moved.

"You made these yourself?"

"In just one day."

"You really are a genius."

Peter Parker shook his head. In the past, he might have been happy to be praised, but now he really could not feel happy at all.

He only wanted to resolve this matter as quickly as possible.

And, take revenge for May and MJ!

Above the Statue of Liberty, in the clouds above, a plane passed by.

Inside the plane, a bored child leaned against the window, then saw someone standing on the clouds.

The red cape behind that person moved in the glow of the evening sky like a mass of boiling, burning flames.

The child turned to the woman sitting beside him and said, "Mom, look, there's someone over there."

The mother smiled and touched the child's head, "Dear, we're in the sky right now. Other than birds, there won't be anything else here."

The child turned back, only to see that the man who was already far away had turned his head and winked at him.

Taking his gaze away from the plane, Homelander looked downward and saw a patch of yellow electrical light jumping through the atmosphere.

The sound of thunder suddenly rang out in midair.

Max was here.

After installing an Arc Reactor in himself, Max's energy had expanded and grown at a geometric rate. His strength was already far beyond what he had in the Amazing Spider-Man universe.

His current form of life was like Homelander's information-based life form, making him a relatively difficult state to deal with.

Of course, if someone like Peter Parker found a way to counter him, there was still a way.

In short, Max had relied on an external object to reach his current level.

Without the support of external objects, he was merely a slightly stronger superhuman.

That was a decisive difference between him and Homelander.

Homelander's information-based life form had been strengthened with a Mother Box. Unless someone blocked his access to the network, there was no particularly good way to keep Homelander there.

At this moment.

At the Statue of Liberty, yellow electrical light flashed, and Max appeared amid a burst of bright light.

He spread his hands, his presence fully unleashed, like a king ascending the throne and being crowned, "Do you like the brand-new me?"

"Show-off," Homelander gave a flat assessment.

At the Statue of Liberty, Max now looked like a Pikachu that could generate electricity, constantly emitting strong currents from his entire body.

He confidently pointed at Peter Parker and said, "Give me that artifact. I'll destroy it, but I'll spare you."

"Don't make me kill people, Peter."

Peter Parker did not have the 'Returner' at all, so without saying a word, he leaped out into the void beyond the Statue of Liberty.

Max shook his head, suddenly transforming into unstable electrical light and rapidly chasing after Peter Parker.

He transformed into electrical light and slammed hard into Spider-Man.

Spider-Man was sent flying, but he did not convulse from the electric shock as Max had expected.

Peter Parker landed on the Statue of Liberty, then fired a web at the base of the torch, using it to pull himself and swing away.

Max took form in the air and said in surprise, "Is that suit made of insulating material?"

"Max, I've missed you!"

Suddenly, a voice rang out.

Max looked back and saw Amazing Spider-Man swinging over on a web. With a kick of both feet, Max was sent flying.

Max flipped several times in midair. Electricity flashed across his body, and he stopped, then looked toward Amazing Spider-Man, who was clinging to the Statue of Liberty.

He shook his head, "No, why are you here?"

Amazing Spider-Man chuckled, "Max, let's talk?"

Max shouted, "There's nothing for me to talk to you about!"

He roared and pushed both hands forward, releasing one astonishing bolt of yellow electricity after another from his palms.

Powerful currents blasted toward Amazing Spider-Man.

Amazing Spider-Man swung away on his webs, making the electrical light able to do nothing but chase behind him.

Electricity surged in Max's eyes. He roared and transformed into lightning, bouncing and moving through the atmosphere as he rapidly chased after him.

At the same time, below the Statue of Liberty, a mass of sand suddenly howled and spun upward, forming a sandstorm.

Within the sandstorm, Marko's face appeared and disappeared.

He said to Peter Parker, who was standing on the torch, "I can't go back yet!"

"There should be medicine in this world that can save my daughter. I have to find it before I go back."

"So either give me some more time, or I'll bury you in sand."

Peter Parker had not answered yet.

The original Spider-Man's voice rang out, "Hello, Marko."

Within the sandstorm, Marko suddenly looked down and saw the original Spider-Man appearing on the head of the Statue of Liberty.

"Peter Parker?"

Spider-Man was stunned.

He thought Marko was calling him.

But he heard the original Spider-Man say, "It's me."

"Marko."

"Let's talk."

"I know you're not a bad person."

"You don't have to do this."

Marko was silent for a while before saying, "I don't hate you, Peter Parker."

"But like I just said, I can't go back yet."

"So if you also want to send me away."

"Then we really do need to have a good talk!"

The sandstorm suddenly shrank, then changed and formed Marko's body on the Statue of Liberty.

Marko raised his hand. His arm was still in the form of sand, and it expanded another circle.

Then he smashed a huge sand-grain fist into the original Spider-Man.

The original Spider-Man was sent flying, but he shot a web that stuck to the arm of the Statue of Liberty, using it to hold himself in place and swing back, kicking Marko in the chest.

The Sandman's chest immediately exploded open.

The original Spider-Man passed through the Sandman's body and landed back on the head of the Statue of Liberty.

Marko's body quickly recovered, then he turned around and said, "It would've been better if you hadn't come here."

The original Spider-Man sighed. "I think so too."

Then the two charged toward each other at the same time.

Standing on the torch, Peter Parker watched as the two Spider-Men below engaged their respective archenemies.

But he had still not seen the person he was waiting for.

The Green Goblin, Osborn.

"Come on."

"Come quickly."

"I know you'll come."

Suddenly.

Peter Parker abruptly turned around.

Behind him, Professor Lizard Connors had appeared at some point. He suddenly jumped up and pounced toward Spider-Man.

But at that very moment, two mechanical tentacles reached over, knocked Connors away, and pinned Professor Lizard to the edge of the torch.

Peter Parker followed the mechanical tentacles and saw Doctor Octopus wearing glasses.

"I don't want to go back and die."

"But I owe you a favor, kid."

Otto smiled, "And now that I've regained my calm, perhaps Spider-Man and I won't have an unsolvable deadlock anymore."

Peter Parker's heart stirred slightly.

Doctor Octopus Otto was the only one among the people he had saved who was willing to help him.

Maybe my efforts weren't in vain?

Maybe there really are people worth saving?

When this thought arose in Spider-Man's heart, the flower of desire deep within his heart immediately swayed, its petals slightly curling backward.

Homelander immediately sensed this.

And he noticed that Peter Parker's desire for revenge seemed to have wavered slightly.

He frowned, "Human nature really is hard to control."

Just then.

He suddenly looked into the distance.

Toward a road leading to the Statue of Liberty.

On that road, a car was driving toward the Statue of Liberty.

Inside that car.

Homelander saw MJ!

Not a robot, but a living person!
