Chapter 375 - Chapter 363: Do You Like Me Like This, Captain Marvel?

Carol did not answer. Instead, she studied Osborn. She looked very carefully and seriously, almost like a student studying a question during an exam.

"A green suit."

"A crazy smile."

"Riding a glider."

"Hmm, all the features match. He's the person I'm looking for."

"You don't need to know my name."

"Anyway, you'll be going back to your own universe soon."

"We won't meet again."

"So, you don't need to know my name."

"Also, I'll give you some advice."

"Just stand there and don't move. We'll all save ourselves a lot of trouble."

As she spoke, magic circles appeared on the uniform covering Carol's arm. After they flashed, corresponding magical symbols appeared on the uniform covering Captain Marvel's arm.

Carol raised her hand and pointed at Osborn. A beam of light shot from between her fingers.

This was a magical beam that could teleport anything it hit into the magical prison beneath the Sanctum Sanctorum.

To be able to become Spider-Man's archenemy, Osborn naturally had some tricks of his own.

When Carol fired the magical beam at him, Osborn immediately leaned to the side. The magical beam landed on a car parked by the roadside below.

After a flash of light, the car disappeared from where it had been.

Osborn laughed crazily, "Hahahaha, so you're a magician, miss."

Then he turned the glider around and fled.

Carol shrugged and immediately chased after him.

Her speed was extremely fast. She caught up with Osborn in an instant, but at that moment, the machine gun mounted beneath the glider suddenly sprayed out a long tongue of flame.

Rat-tat-tat-tat!

A burst of gunfire rang out.

The machine gun swept out a stream of bullets, sweeping across the academy grounds as the glider moved forward.

One car after another was hit. A fountain was blown apart. Several streetlights were hit and sprayed sparks, while even students and teachers scattered in panic to take cover.

Seeing that the bullets were about to sweep into a teaching building, Captain Marvel hurried beneath the glider, reached out, and tore the machine gun off. She then crushed it into an iron ball and threw it into a trash can below.

Osborn took the opportunity to fly into the school library, and the library immediately erupted in cries of alarm.

When Captain Marvel was about to fly in, Osborn shouted, "Don't come in, or I'll kill him."

He had taken a teacher hostage, carrying him on the glider. A section of a sharp blade extending from the armor on his arm was pressed against the man's neck, right over his major artery.

"Despicable."

Carol cursed under her breath, then raised both hands and said, "I can stay out, but you have to let him go."

Captain Marvel could easily deal with the first Spider-Man and the Amazing Spider-Man, but she found Osborn somewhat troublesome.

In her view, Osborn was not considered powerful.

Among the villains she had faced, there were plenty who were stronger than Osborn.

But Osborn was very cunning and very despicable.

That made Carol wary.

"I know you're very powerful, and very fast."

"So, strange girl, I need you to stay somewhere I can see you."

"Stay up in the sky and don't move."

Osborn's voice came from inside the library.

Captain Marvel shouted, "No problem. As you wish."

She flew into midair and continued holding up both hands, "Is this okay?"

"Very good."

Inside the library, Osborn flew out through the window while holding the man hostage, and he also flew up into the air.

"Let the hostage go," Carol shouted.

Osborn laughed loudly, "Lady, do I look like a little kid?"

"I'll let the hostage go, but not now."

"I want you to stay there and not move."

"As long as you move a finger, I'll kill him. I mean what I say."

Osborn lightly pressed the blade against the man's neck. The sharp blade immediately broke the skin on the man's neck, and a drop of blood fell onto the blade.

"I'm right here."

"I'm not going anywhere."

"Don't hurt him."

"He's innocent," Carol shouted.

Osborn shrugged, "Then it depends on how you behave."

"I don't want to see you again, lady."

"Let's say goodbye here."

The glider changed direction, and Osborn quickly flew away with the teacher.

Soon, he became a black dot in the distance.

Carol repeatedly narrowed her eyes.

Just as she was about to lose sight of Osborn, she suddenly saw Osborn push the teacher off the glider.

At this moment, Osborn was more than two hundred meters above the ground. If the teacher fell to the ground, he would definitely be smashed into a pulp.

"Damn guy!"

Carol shouted and rushed forward at full speed.

The sound of the wind roared beside her ears, and the teacher's figure rapidly grew larger in her eyes.

"Help!"

"Noooo!"

The man fell from the high school, flailing his arms and legs and screaming out of control.

Because he was too frightened, he passed out in midair.

But his screams had already attracted the attention of the pedestrians below.

People looked at someone rapidly falling from the sky and could not help crying out in alarm.

At this moment, Carol arrived.

She caught the man in midair, holding him from behind, then used her own back as the landing surface and descended diagonally from the sky onto the street.

She slid all the way, plowing a groove into the ground, and only stopped after a moment.

She put down the man and shouted in all directions, "Call an ambulance!"

Then she shot into the sky with a "boom."

She looked around, but there was no sign of Osborn.

The cunning Green Goblin had already hidden himself in the complex streets, but this did not stump Carol. She tapped a device on her arm.

Several beams of light rose up, rapidly constructing a three-dimensional model of New York City.

Then a rapidly moving point of light flashed in one of the alleys.

"Found you."

Osborn was riding his glider into an alley. He planned to use the sewers to get rid of Carol.

Carol could fly and also had the ability to move at high speed, which made Osborn know that it was simply impossible to shake that woman off in the sky.

For now, the only thing he could use was the sewer.

He jumped off the glider, threw a sewer manhole cover into a nearby trash can, and was about to jump down.

Suddenly, a neutron beam cannon came down from the sky, landing at the sewer entrance and setting off an explosion.

Amid flying rubble, Osborn was knocked away and crashed into a dumpster.

He coughed repeatedly and raised his head, seeing Carol descending from the sky.

"Let's see where you run this time."

She raised her arm and was about to fire the magical beam, bringing Osborn back to the Sanctum Sanctorum.

Suddenly, there was a "BANG" beside her ear. Then her arm pointed upward, and the magical beam shot into the air, hitting a bird that happened to be flying past nearby.

Carol turned her head and saw a face right in front of her.

Blond hair, blue eyes, the corners of his mouth raised. Homelander smiled.

"Good morning, Miss Carol."

"Can I take you out?"

Carol was stunned for a moment, then smiled and said, "I'm afraid I don't have time right now. How about you get in line?"

She glanced at Osborn lying on the dumpster.

"That's really unfortunate."

"Because when I think of something I want to do, I do it."

"So whether you have time or not, I want to take you out and chat," Homelander's face was full of smiles.

He looked at Osborn, "What are you waiting for?"

"Don't disturb my date with this lady."

Although Osborn's evil personality was crazy and erratic, how could he not know that Homelander was buying time for him to escape?

He did not know why this unfamiliar man was doing this, but he had no time to care right now.

Osborn jumped onto the glider, and the glider carried him rapidly away.

"Let me go," Carol's expression became dark.

Homelander not only did not let go of her, but held her even tighter.

What a joke.

What if he let her go and she fired a magical beam at him, teleporting him back to the Sanctum Sanctorum?

Carol felt the strength in Homelander's hands. Without saying anything more, she punched toward Homelander's handsome, steady face.

But Homelander caught it with one hand.

Homelander pulled Carol's hands apart to either side and pressed his whole body against her. The two were almost nose to nose in midair.

Homelander smiled, "You should be gentler. Then you'll have a boyfriend."

Carol let out a sound of disdain, "I don't need that kind of thing."

She suddenly bent her knee and drove it toward the most painful place on a man.

Although Homelander had the "biological force field" protecting him, he also did not want to be hit by Carol in that place.

He immediately raised his leg to block.

Bang!

Their knees collided.

The impact shook the nearby buildings, making the people inside think there had been an earthquake.

"Do you know? When a lady tells you to leave, you should leave. That's what a gentleman should do."

After Carol said this, she viciously slammed her head forward.

Homelander likewise answered with a headbutt. Their heads crashed together, producing a ring of visible shockwaves.

The shockwaves spread outward, causing cracks to appear in the buildings on both sides of the alley.

Homelander pressed his head against Carol's and laughed, "First, I'm not a gentleman."

"Second, women don't like obedient men."

"Women like bad men."

After saying that, he suddenly pressed Carol and crashed into a building.

The people inside the building were startled. Cups immediately fell, and documents flew into the air.

The people in this office watched as Homelander and Carol crashed through several walls before stopping at a pillar.

Carol was knocked into the pillar by Homelander, who lifted both her hands and pressed them against the pillar.

Homelander hung onto Captain Marvel's body. The hardness and masculine presence transmitted from the other person made Carol's breathing slightly quicken.

"You're too close, bastard."

Carol planted both feet against the pillar, using the force to pull herself out of it. Then she spun her body, trying to throw Homelander away.

But Homelander was like a piece of dog-skin plaster, gripping Carol's hands tightly and simply refusing to be thrown off.

"If you want to pursue a lady, of course you can't stay too far apart."

"And when you grab her, you have to hold on tightly. You can't let her throw you off."

Homelander showed a friendly smile, "Finally, you have to give her the most passionate look, and let her melt in your passion."

Boom!

"Heat vision" shot from Homelander's eyes. The high-temperature, blazing beams landed on Carol, leaving Captain Marvel completely unharmed.

Her body was likewise covered by a layer of energy force field. It was different from the "biological force field," but it could likewise isolate damage. This was also why Carol could travel through space as a beam of light without exposing herself.

But although this force field blocked the "heat vision," it refracted the two golden beams of light.

So the people on the street watched in horror as two golden beams of light shot out from the building. They moved for a while, and the building was cut apart.

Large sections of the building tilted and slid down. A woman in one of the offices screamed in terror as the "heat vision" passed right by her toes, cutting the office apart.

She fell to the floor in fright. After a moment, liquid flowed out and spread from beneath her.

Seeing this, Carol shouted and carried Homelander as she suddenly charged up.

The two kept smashing through every floor of the building, finally bursting out through the building's rooftop.

Carol still had no intention of stopping. She directly carried Homelander into the high sky. In the blink of an eye, they had entered the atmosphere, and both of them produced flames from the intense friction.

A moment later, they had already arrived in outer space.

Homelander did not stop firing "heat vision" because of this. On the contrary, he kept increasing the energy level of the "heat vision."

But at this moment, patches of brilliant light flames rose upward from the surface of Carol's body.

BOOM!

A huge impact shook Homelander's hands apart.

Carol's entire body was enveloped in brilliant light. Her hair seemed to turn into flames within the light flames, gently flying upward.

Binary form!

Captain Marvel, who had activated her strongest form, immediately released an astonishing sense of pressure.

Homelander whistled, suddenly raising the power of his "heat vision" to its limit. He shouted, and the blood vessels around his eye sockets were illuminated by the light, forming a pattern.

The "heat vision" surging from his eyes once again was dazzling and eye-catching.

With Earth as the background, Homelander's eyes lit up. Beams extended out to the left and right, while in the middle, an extremely high-temperature stream of light like a cannon surged and shot toward Carol.

Captain Marvel did not make a sound. She suddenly charged forward, actually crashing into the "heat vision."

She seemed to be swimming in a river of light, rapidly swimming upstream.

This scene was captured by the camera of a nearby low-Earth-orbit satellite.

In the camera footage, Carol crashed into the river of light, tearing apart the golden, high-temperature river of light.

In the blink of an eye, she emerged from the river of light and punched Homelander hard in the face.

The punch knocked Homelander's head to one side, causing the golden river of light to swing into a huge arc in the dim outer space.

In the camera of the low-Earth-orbit satellite, a brilliant mass of light surged toward it, and in the blink of an eye, it was swallowed up.

There was no explosion.

The satellite rapidly melted and broke apart in the light of the "heat vision." After the golden river of light passed, only a few fragments that had not had time to melt fell down, entering the atmosphere and becoming several distant "meteors."

The light in Homelander's eyes flashed twice. The "heat vision" disappeared, and the patterns of light at the corners of his eyes gradually dimmed. He showed a charming smile.

"Is that all the strength you have?"

"If that's all the strength you have, you can't shake me off."

He suddenly pressed close, opened his arms, and tightly hugged Carol.

Then he crashed toward a space station not far away.
