Chapter 130 - Chapter 130: Submit to Me, Worship Me, Proclaim My Name

That stream of scorching, ultra-high-temperature energy looked like it was about to split Wakanda in two. Fortunately, after passing over the grasslands, it stopped just before entering the capital.

When the energy stream disappeared, inside the security center, Princess Shuri checked the full view and couldn't help feeling weak in her limbs. That stream had torn a "rift" through the army and the grasslands.

Along this "rift," there was not a trace of life. The ground was charred black, forming a long strip of darkness.

A black zone of death!

Flames still burned across that blackened strip. The vehicles caught within it showed signs of melting after exploding, while the soldiers had been burned directly to ash.

As for the aircraft, although they weren't directly hit by the beam, the radiation and extreme heat melted their undersides and caused their engines to explode, bringing many of them crashing down.

Shuri couldn't help imagining, 'If that torrent hadn't been a straight shot, but a sweeping attack—'

'What would the result have been?'

A chill ran through her.

'Most likely, it would have been Wakanda's end.'

'Fortunately, it seems that even though that mysterious man could control such massive solar radiation, it must be a considerable burden for him.'

That much was clear from the fact that the energy torrent stopped before reaching the capital.

Shuri immediately contacted her brother, ["Brother, don't be afraid."]

["That level of energy output, he shouldn't be able to use it again. And the fact that it didn't enter the capital means that was probably his limit."]

Hearing this, T'Challa finally let out a breath inside his helmet, "Good. Very good, Shuri."

"Keep monitoring him, and put the border weapon systems on standby. Be ready to fire at any moment."

["Understood."]

While the siblings spoke, Alex was already walking forward.

T'Challa immediately issued the order, "Attack!"

"All units, concentrate fire and eliminate the intruder!"

"Yes!"

"Wakanda forever!"

"Wakanda forever!"

Watching these soldier shouting at the top of their lungs, Alex almost laughed. He was also curious, 'After I just showed that level of power, they still dare to fight?'

'Hmm, they probably think that was my limit.'

'Or maybe they think I can't use that kind of attack again?'

'How shallow.'

'Looks like having Vibranium and leading the world in technology has made them blindly arrogant.'

'Fools. The reason I didn't continue attacking just now wasn't because I couldn't, it was because I didn't want to destroy the Vibranium mines!'

At that moment, fighter jets in the sky, armored vehicles on the ground, tens of thousands of soldiers, countless guns, all aimed at Alex. The dense bombardment looked like it was trying to blow the entire land apart.

Every second, Alex endured countless attacks. He watched bullets flatten into scraps of metal against his double-layered biological force field and fall to the ground. He watched lasers disperse into ripples of energy before reaching him. He watched missiles and shells explode in front of him, releasing waves of fire.

Wakanda's attacks were fierce, but they couldn't harm a single hair on his head.

Alex even yawned. Then his eyes flashed with golden light, sweeping first across the sky.

The Wakandan aircraft didn't foolishly hover in place. They performed all kinds of tactical maneuvers. In both speed and agility, they far surpassed the fighters of other nations.

But they still couldn't escape Alex's heat vision. With the assistance of "absolute hit," even when the beams didn't directly strike, they curved midair to track their targets, eventually piercing through aircraft one after another, turning them into fireballs. Flaming debris scattered across the sky, making it look like a rain of fiery meteors.

Boom!

Boom!

Explosions echoed endlessly across the battlefield, one after another.

Brilliant fireballs and blazing flames turned the sky above Wakanda's army into something like a grand fireworks display.

But every fireball meant the loss of a fighter jet, the death of a skilled soldier.

At that moment, T'Challa's heart bled.

With a roar, he charged into the smoke, toward the source of the two finger-thick golden beams.

Seeing this, General Okoye quickly raised her hand and shouted over the comms, "Cease fire!"

"Stop attacking!"

"Don't hit Prince T'Challa!"

The soldiers and vehicles immediately stopped firing. Some soldiers even raised their shields, projecting small energy barriers to block the falling wreckage from the sky.

At the same time, T'Challa had already rushed into the smoke, roaring through his helmet, "Why are you attacking my people?"

"Why are you attacking us?"

Alex stopped firing his heat vision and folded his arms with a smile, "Why so many questions? If I have to give you a reason, how about this, I feel like it."

"You madman!"

"You're a demon!"

"You evil bastard! I swear on the souls of my ancestors, I will kill you and honor those who died by your hand!"

T'Challa pushed off with his toes, moving with panther-like agility as he rushed toward Alex.

With a roar, he raised both arms. Ten sharp Vibranium claws extended from his fingers as he slashed at Alex.

In his mind, this mysterious and powerful man would either dodge or defend.

Either way, he had a series of follow-up attacks ready.

But, Alex didn't dodge. Didn't defend. He stood still and let T'Challa strike.

Of course, between T'Challa's claws and Alex's suit, there was a gap as thin as a strand of hair.

And that tiny gap meant the Black Panther's claws could never reach him.

The double-layered biological force field wasn't for show. Black Panther couldn't even break one layer, let alone two.

Back in the DC universe, even Doomsday had barely managed to break through a clone's force field.

Compared to that kind of monster, one capable of easily destroying a city and theoretically evolving without limit, Black Panther was merely a super-soldier-level hero, similar to Captain America.

Later, Shuri upgraded his suit so it could store kinetic energy and release it, giving him area-of-effect attacks.

But right now—

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Black Panther moved at incredible speed, slashing repeatedly, leaving streaks of light, but he couldn't even scratch the surface of the force field.

Another slash and Alex grabbed his wrist, lifted him up, and laughed, "Is this how Wakandans fight?"

"Scratching faces like women with their nails?"

Inside the helmet, T'Challa's eyes burned with anger, but he didn't retort.

He twisted his wrist free, flipped through the air, and brought his leg down like a battle axe, as if he intended to split a mountain, striking at Alex's forehead.

Bang!

His heel slammed into Alex's forehead with a dull impact. A faint shockwave spread outward, sending a gust of wind in all directions.

Behind them, Wakandan soldiers cheered.

"Well done, Your Highness!"

"Wakanda forever!"

"Long live the Black Panther!"

But then, they saw their prince grabbed by the leg, swung into the air, and slammed down.

Boom!

Black Panther was smashed into the ground. The entire grassland shook violently. The earth cracked apart, surged upward, and shattered. Stones shot into the air, columns of sand and debris erupted, and shockwaves spread outward, destroying everything above ground.

Then Black Panther sprang back up. Beneath him, the ground had collapsed into a shallow crater over fifty meters wide.

At that moment, he twisted his body, broke free from Alex's grip, and leapt back several times, putting distance between them.

He didn't look seriously injured.

Alex couldn't help but admire it.

'As expected of one of the strongest metals in the Marvel universe.'

Vibranium's ability to absorb kinetic energy really made it a top-tier defensive material. He hadn't used much force just now, but that kind of slam would have crushed a tank, yet Black Panther was barely affected.

Inside his helmet, T'Challa was breathing heavily.

He hadn't expected Alex to be this powerful.

He had used everything he had, and still couldn't harm even a single hair on his opponent.

'What kind of power is this?'

'It is like facing a god!'

'A god?"

T'Challa's voice was low inside his helmet, "Are you Asgardian?"

Last year, Asgardians had appeared and destroyed a town.

Wakanda knew about it. T'Challa had even seen footage of the battle.

There had been a man wielding a hammer, summoning lightning, just as durable and powerful as the man before him.

And he also wore a red cape.

"Asgardian?"

Alex smiled, "You mean the one who throws lightning?"

"No! No!"

"I'm not Asgardian. Though I'd like to visit someday, I'm not."

"I'm the same as you, someone from this planet."

'Just from a different universe.'

He didn't say that last part.

T'Challa was shaken, "You're human? That's impossible. As far as I know, aside from that big green guy, the strongest human on Earth is Captain America."

"But compared to you, Captain America is like a baby drinking milk."

"Even the green giant only became that way due to genetic mutation from gamma radiation."

"I don't know who's stronger between you and him, but humans shouldn't be able to reach your level."

Alex folded his arms and smiled, "So you understand the gap between us."

"Then what are you waiting for?"

He lifted off the ground, floating in midair, looking down at Black Panther and the others.

"Kneel. Worship me."

"If you do, Wakanda will gain a powerful protector."

"Otherwise, you'll gain a god of death."

T'Challa glanced back. General Okoye gave a slight nod.

The prince looked up, "Wakanda has only one protector."

With a roar, he charged forward again, leaping into the air, claws raised, attacking the "god" above.

"Foolish."

Alex spoke calmly, then casually swatted him aside like a fly.

A shockwave burst out as his arm struck T'Challa's helmet, sending him flying.

Black Panther shot through the air like a cannonball, passing over the army before crashing down in the distance.

Okoye glanced back, then shouted, "Wakanda forever!"

She charged forward.

Beams of light tore through the air, streaking over her head in the dawn light, raining down on Alex.

Cannons, missiles, lasers, everything fired at once, filling the sky with explosions.

Then, from within the fireballs, a golden stream blasted downward, sweeping across the battlefield, triggering explosions in its wake.

After several sweeps, the entire grassland, and the entire army, was nearly torn apart.

Coughing, Okoye crawled out from beside an overturned vehicle. The entire grassland was burning.

Soldiers screamed in the flames. Vehicles continued to explode.

Her pupils shrank as she stared in disbelief.

Then she saw that figure descending from the sky. With a shout, she jumped onto a vehicle, preparing to charge.

But someone was faster—

T'Challa!

Black Panther lunged at Alex, leaping high, claws ready to strike.

"Enough."

Alex's eyes flashed gold. Heat vision blasted out, aimed straight at Black Panther.

T'Challa crossed his arms, using the Vibranium armor to block the beam.

He was blasted backward, crashing to the ground. The armor on his arms glowed red-hot.

Ignoring the beam overhead, he leaned forward and charged again.

"Watch your back, Your Highness!", Okoye shouted.

T'Challa turned, the heat vision had curved around like a guided missile, locking onto him again.

He realized he couldn't escape it. He stopped, braced himself, and pressed both hands forward, blocking the beam.

A grunt escaped him. The force behind the beam was overwhelming, like being hit by a high-speed train. He was pushed backward, sliding across the ground.

Alex chuckled, "Vibranium really is impressive. Absorbs kinetic energy and heat."

"I wonder what its melting point is."

As he spoke, he increased the intensity of the solar radiation, raising the temperature of the heat vision.

From 1,000 degrees, to 6,000, then to 10,000.

Flames ignited all around T'Challa. His black suit rapidly turned red-hot.

Even through the armor, he could feel the burning heat. His vision was completely white, like staring directly into the sun.

Okoye, lacking such protection, didn't dare push forward. She ducked behind a vehicle.

The next moment, flames roared past like waves.

The vehicle turned red, began smoking, and then started melting.

Okoye quickly raised an energy shield. Inside the vehicle, a flash of fire—

Boom!

The explosion blasted her away. She hit the ground and rolled several times before stopping.

Groaning, she forced her eyes open and looked ahead.

She saw Wakanda's protector, Black Panther, kneeling on the ground, barely holding on.

His suit was beginning to melt.

The temperature of the golden beam kept rising, it had reached Vibranium's melting point.

At that moment, a voice sounded from the sky.

"I am the King of Wakanda."

"Powerful stranger, we surrender. Please spare T'Challa."

A aircraft descended, the voice coming from its broadcast system.

Alex smiled, "Should've done that from the start."

He slowly withdrew the heat vision. As the blinding light faded, T'Challa finally lowered his arms.

He knelt on the ground, removed his helmet, and sweat poured down.

His suit was still red-hot. The armor on his arms showed signs of melting. He quickly removed it, revealing burns on both arms.

Without the Vibranium suit, he would have been reduced to charred bones at that temperature.

Only then did he see the aircraft land on the scorched battlefield.

Wakanda's king, his father, T'Chaka, stepped out, wearing glasses.

T'Chaka glanced at his son and subtly shook his head, signaling him not to act rashly.

Then he walked toward Alex, stopped in front of him, and knelt on one knee.

"How should I address you?"

Alex smiled, "Names aren't important. Just like God, people don't call him 'Yahweh.'"

"So… call me the Conqueror."

"Conqueror," T'Chaka bowed his head, "Great Conqueror, what can Wakanda do for you?"

Alex floated upward, his red cape fluttering in the morning breeze. Looking down at everyone, he spread his arms and smiled.

"Submit to me. Worship me. Proclaim my name."

"If you do, you will receive my protection."

T'Challa wanted to speak, but his father kept signaling him. He fell silent.

T'Chaka raised his arms, "As you command, great Conqueror."

"Wakanda will build statues for you. We will use our influence to spread your name across the world."

Alex nodded in satisfaction.

The Wakandan king looked up again, "Conqueror, do you have any other orders?"

This old man knows how to play the game.

Alex cast a "True Sight Eye" on T'Chaka. The king's inner thoughts echoed in his mind.

'The Conqueror is too powerful.'

'Even with our advanced technology, even with the Black Panther, we are no match for him.'

'For now, we cannot defy him.'

'As expected, experience speaks.'

'He knows when to bow his head.'

Alex nodded slightly, "First, take me to see your Vibranium mines."

"Second, I need a suit."

"A suit made of Vibranium."

———

Morning came.

Caitlin stretched, got up, brushed her teeth, washed her face, and changed clothes. Just as she was about to go find Alex, there was a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" she asked.

"It's me," Alex's voice came from outside.

"Mr. John, you're up already."

Caitlin quickly opened the door and heard Alex say, "I made some friends last night. They want to take us around. What do you think?"

Caitlin said in surprise, "Mr. John, you're really amazing."

"How do you make friends so easily?"

Alex glanced at the Wakandan prince beside him, along with General Okoye and the others, and smiled.

"It's simple. When making friends, you just need sincerity."

"Don't you think so, T'Challa?"
