The fast rhythm against the wall slowly came to an end. Both of them stayed quiet, breathing hard.
Adrian didn't pull away right away. For a long time, he stayed leaning over her, his forehead pressed on hers. His bare chest kept rising and falling heavily against her.
Elara's eyes were half closed. Her body felt tired and weak. She didn't dare move. When the rush inside her finally faded away, her lips pressed together tightly as a thought came to her mind.
Downstairs, the afterparty would still be going on and Ziva might still be there. What if she had woken up and was looking for her right now?
The thought made her stomach twist uncomfortably.
And then there was Carris. There was a high chance that he had seen her leave the floor with Adrian.
She was supposed to be there with them, or better yet, gone to her apartment to escape the mess entirely. Yet here she was– hiding in a dark room, completely undone.
