A Kiss Beneath the Night Sky
After enjoying the night street food together, Julian slowly brought the car to a stop in front of the clinic.
The quiet street was washed under the soft glow of streetlights. Most shops nearby had already closed, leaving only a few faint lights in the distance and the cool night breeze drifting through the air.
Amara stepped out while still holding the bouquet of roses against her chest. The corners of her lips carried a small smile that she didn't even realize was there.
"Alright, I'm heading home." She turned toward him and waved lightly. "You should get going too. I'll talk to my grandpa about the Tyson family issue and see if he has any ideas."
Julian smiled and raised a hand.
"Alright. Don't overthink it too much."
She nodded and began walking away.
"Okay. Don't stay up too late either—"
Julian was about to start the car again when suddenly—
She stopped.
Then turned around.
Before Julian could even react, she hurried back toward him.
