The Innocent Blade
Maya's expression softened as she thought about the young girl.
"She's lively, innocent, and quite likable."
She paused for a moment before turning toward Leon.
A playful smile spread across her face. There was a mischievous glint in her eyes, the sort that usually meant she was about to cause trouble for someone else.
"Why don't you... give her to me?"
Leon raised an eyebrow.
He knew exactly what she meant. Judging by the look on her face, there was little point in pretending otherwise.
"You want my student?"
Maya nodded without the slightest hesitation.
"Of course."
Leon chuckled.
"Sure."
Maya blinked.
...Huh?
That was it?
She had expected a little resistance. Knowing Leon, he might have teased her first. He might have demanded something ridiculous in return. Or he could have found some absurd excuse to drag the conversation out just for his own amusement.
But he had agreed immediately.
Just like that.
