"Not enough."
He felt the Soul Power in his body wasn't decreasing at all; even when releasing it frantically, it wasn't as much as what was recovering.
A thought flashed through Arthur's mind; he wanted to test his limits.
The black spirit ring behind him lit up.
Soul Power Release!
"Rumble—!"
In an instant.
The originally intertwined crimson-gold Soul Power suddenly surged, exploding outward with Arthur at the center like a lit powder keg!
The bluestone ground of the training field cracked upon impact, fissures spreading rapidly like a spiderweb, reaching the edge of the entire field in the blink of an eye.
Some of the shattered stones were even swept up by the Soul Power currents, creating ear-piercing whistles as they sliced through the air.
The surrounding training racks and wooden stakes were like paper, tossed into the air by the violent currents before crashing down heavily.
Wood chips and stone fragments flew everywhere.
The medicinal liquid in the pool was even kicked up into a wall of water over ten zhang high, and the mist filling the air instantly vaporized under the heat of the crimson-gold Soul Power.
It turned into a vast expanse of white steam that enveloped the entire training field, the air thick with a rich medicinal fragrance and a scorching Aura.
Looking at the disappearing medicinal pool, Mu Ye felt a pang of heartache. He could barely accept it, though, since Arthur had already absorbed most of it.
He narrowed his eyes slightly, staring intently at Arthur, wanting to see exactly what he was doing.
Time passed slowly.
One breath. Two breaths.
One quarter-hour. Two quarter-hours.
Gradually, Mu Ye noticed something was wrong.
Even after so much time had passed, Arthur's figure remained steadfast.
He still maintained his posture of releasing Soul Power, the light of the black spirit ring behind him steady, and the crimson-gold Soul Power around him churning like boiling lava.
"Your Soul Power?"
Mu Ye's voice carried a sense of disbelief.
He couldn't help but step forward a couple of paces, staring fixedly at the crimson-gold Soul Power roiling around Arthur.
After such a long period of violent release, even a Soul Master at the Spirit Emperor level should have consumed most of their Soul Power.
But the Soul Power fluctuations on Arthur showed no signs of weakening; instead, they became increasingly refined.
Arthur slowly opened his eyes. Despite releasing Soul Power for so long, there wasn't a trace of fatigue in his eyes; instead, they were strikingly bright.
He raised his hand, and the crimson-gold Soul Power condensed into a spinning orb of light in his palm, its glow steady and hot. "I didn't expect the red dragon furnace core's energy supply to have no upper limit at all."
Feeling the Soul Power in his body recover instantly with every breath, Arthur felt like he had turned on a cheat.
"That's about enough."
Slowly withdrawing his Soul Power, Arthur let out a long breath.
"Is this what that power gave you?" Seeing this, Mu Ye stepped forward to ask.
"It's one of them." Arthur stretched his body. "There are many other things, but I need to integrate them slowly."
"I'm still a bit unaccustomed to it right now."
"Unaccustomed?" Mu Ye suddenly gave a mysterious smile. "Then let me help you. While I'm at it, I'll see how much progress you've made with your Physical Body."
As soon as he finished speaking, Mu Ye vanished from the spot.
The next second.
He threw a plain and simple punch at Arthur.
If it were the Arthur of before, he would have already prepared himself to fall unconscious.
But today was different from the past.
Instead of retreating, Arthur advanced, keeping up with Mu Ye's rhythm.
He also clenched his fist, pouring his Physical Body strength into it without reservation, and struck out against Mu Ye's punch.
"Bang!"
The moment the two fists collided, a dull boom made the air hum, and a circular airwave exploded outward from the two of them.
The already cracked bluestone bricks on the ground were completely swept away.
"Good!" Mu Ye's eyes lit up.
He increased his power slightly and threw another punch!
Arthur felt a force even more fierce than before rushing toward him.
The red dragon furnace core inside him throbbed frantically, and a surging torrent of blood and Qi rushed toward his arms as his Physical Body strength erupted completely.
His muscle lines became prominent from the exertion, and a thick crimson-gold halo appeared on his fist.
He without any hesitation, he maintained his head-on stance, his fist carrying an indomitable Aura as it met the attack again.
"Boom!"
The second collision of their fists produced a dull boom even louder than before, like a clap of thunder exploding in the training field.
The power of the circular airwave doubled, shaking the surrounding loose stones back into the air.
One punch. Two punches. Three punches.
Like two violent Vicious Beasts, the two of them abandoned all technique, clashing purely with Physical Body strength as the sound of fist-to-flesh impacts exploded in rapid succession.
Suddenly, the sky was filled with fist shadows.
Mu Ye controlled his power, ensuring that each subsequent punch was a fraction stronger than the last.
Gradually increasing the weight.
Arthur was also using this to push himself and become familiar with his new power.
"Ora Ora Ora Ora!"
Arthur's roars were constant, his blood and Qi boiling completely, his fist shadows as dense as a rainstorm as they collided with Mu Ye's fists in a continuous, dull thundering.
Not long after, Arthur collapsed to the ground, unable to get up.
Encountering the Body Sect's Sect Master, he was unable to win even after exhausting all his efforts.
"What a monster." Mu Ye wiped away non-existent sweat. Staring at Arthur, the more he looked, the more satisfied he felt with his decisive choice to teach him back then.
The Body Sect shall flourish.
He could already see a bright future for Arthur on the path of the Body, a possibility of surpassing predecessors and reaching the ultimate goal.
He reached out and patted Arthur's shoulder with moderate force, yet it made him grimace in pain. "Endure it for a while; you destroyed the medicinal pool yourself."
"Stay here and don't move; I'll go brew another batch for you."
Arthur rolled his eyes weakly.
After an unknown amount of time, a rich aroma of meat drifted over with the wind, making Arthur's stomach growl.
He turned his head and saw Mu Ye returning with a food box and a medicine pot.
"Eat something first to fill your stomach."
Mu Ye tossed the food box in front of him and then opened the medicine pot, a bitter medicinal fragrance spreading out. "This is the Mind-Concentrating Healing Soup I just brewed. Although it's not as good as the previous medicinal pool, it's enough."
Arthur sat up and, without even glancing at the medicinal soup, opened the food box and began to wolf down the food.
Eating was still more attractive to him.
Healing medicine and such were no longer important.
Now, as long as he was in a place covered by the Douluo Earth Vein, his injuries would slowly recover.
He was just too tired right now.
This was still because he was too weak; once he became stronger and could use more Earth Vein Power, recovering to full health in a second wouldn't be a dream.
"Son of Nature" wouldn't even be enough to describe him.
No, if there were a Son of Nature, strictly speaking, they would be of Arthur's son's generation.
After all, Arthur was the new Plane Master, just still developing.
Add to that the red dragon furnace core's mana regeneration.
He really had become a mobile fountain.
"Eat slowly, don't rush," Mu Ye said. "I see that after you broke through level forty, you still have only three spirit rings."
"Do you have any thoughts about a new soul spirit?"
Arthur's mouth was stuffed with food, his cheeks bulging as he mumbled indistinctly, "soul spirit? Actually, it doesn't matter for my Martial Soul."
He swallowed the food in his mouth: "But I plan to wait a bit longer and absorb a Hundred-Thousand-Year soul spirit when the time comes."
Mu Ye: "Hmm?"
His eyes went wide, as if he had heard some kind of fairy tale. "A Hundred-Thousand-Year soul spirit?"
This is bad, this is bad.
Was I too forceful just now?
I've damaged Arthur's brain.
Mu Ye stared at Arthur, his fingers instinctively stroking his chin.
His eyes were full of worry, as if thinking, "This kid might have been beaten stupid."
"Arthur, tell me the truth," Mu Ye said in a solemn tone. "During the spar just now, did one of the punches hit your head?"
"Feel free to tell Teacher; Teacher will help treat you."
