Seeing the behemoth before them, the group of over thirty people was stunned.
The spider was massive, several meters tall, covered in dense, sharp barbs. Its back even had a huge, terrifying, and foul-smelling mouth.
Furthermore, its abdomen was incredibly swollen, as if hiding something inside.
Looking at the spider monster, Yumu's expression changed slightly; this wasn't a monster they could handle.
"It's an A-rank monster, an Abyssal Giant Spider! Everyone, be careful!"
Yumu shouted in a low voice.
Everyone drew their weapons and went on guard.
Rumiel consciously applied support magic to the team members.
A battle was on the verge of breaking out.
Just then, there was a commotion in the bushes nearby.
Dozens of Goblins came out riding Rangas.
The newcomers were the Wolf Riders led by Gobta.
"Ah! I finally escaped that stinky old man's clutches and thought I could relax, but then I run into this kind of monster. Honestly."
Gobta muttered gloomily, but his movements weren't slow at all as he ordered the Goblins riding Rangas to charge the Abyssal Giant Spider.
"Kill it!"
Following his command, the Wolf Riders drew their long swords and charged at the Abyssal Giant Spider.
"Awoo~"
The Wolf Riders howled at the sky, showing off their powerful combat strength.
The base teleportation circle had been developed by Beta half a month ago, and the first one connected was to the Duchy of Nazarick.
Hakurou had also arrived at the Jura Tempest Federation half a month ago.
That day, all the warriors of the Jura Tempest Federation faced the most desperate moment of their lives.
Rivers of blood flowed, and corpses littered the field.
Cough, well... that's an exaggeration.
Gobta was the first to bear the brunt and became the first victim.
Thanks to his own terrifying recovery ability, he barely survived the first day of training.
Over the following half-month, everyone's strength grew by leaps and bounds.
Even Rimuru was no exception.
Under Hakurou's guidance, Rimuru began learning combat techniques and gradually mastered the initial use of Qi Manipulation and Battle Qi.
Getting sidetracked; back to Gobta.
After enduring half a month of torment, he finally used the excuse of patrolling to escape training today and came to the forest to hunt, only to run into this unlucky Abyssal Giant Spider.
"Charge!"
Accompanied by the howls of the Wolf Riders, they finally engaged the Abyssal Giant Spider in close combat.
Amidst the flash of blades, several crisp cracking sounds were heard as the Abyssal Giant Spider's incredibly hard chelicerae were severed one by one.
Then, blood splattered as the Abyssal Giant Spider wailed in pain.
Yumu's group watched this scene in astonishment.
Were these still the fragile Goblins they remembered?
This world is too crazy!
Once the Abyssal Giant Spider had completely collapsed, Gobta calmly approached Yumu and the others.
"Are you... adventurers?" Gobta asked tentatively.
"Are you... Goblins?" Yumu asked back in disbelief... And so, Yumu and his group were brought back to the Jura Tempest Federation by Gobta.
Inside the conference room.
Rimuru looked at the group of fierce-looking thugs before him and turned to Gobta with a questioning look.
"Lord Rimuru, they are adventurers we found while patrolling."
"Oh?"
Stroking his chin, Rimuru thought these people didn't look like adventurers at all; they looked more like mercenaries.
"Are you the ruler of this city?"
"A... Slime?"
Yumu looked at Rimuru with some disdain.
It was simply because the fact that Slimes were weak was deeply rooted in this world.
"What if I am a Slime?"
Rimuru said coldly.
"Heh, it's nothing."
Yumu shook his head.
"I just didn't expect a mere Slime could actually become the leader of a faction. How ironic."
As soon as he finished speaking, a terrifying demonic aura instantly enveloped the entire conference room.
The faces of Yumu's group changed drastically, filled with terror.
Rimuru was currently resting with his eyes closed, looking quite lazy.
The terrifying pressure came and went just as quickly.
The next moment, the room returned to normal, and Rimuru transformed back into his human form.
"I advise you not to judge by appearances in the future, or you might not meet someone as easygoing as me next time."
Rimuru shot Yumu a cold glance.
"Yes, yes... I understand..."
Yumu whispered, his forehead drenched in sweat. The terrifying pressure just now was so overwhelming it made him feel as if he couldn't breathe.
"Tell me, who exactly are you, and what business do you have here?"
Yumu wiped his cold sweat and then recounted their experiences.
After listening, Rimuru fell into deep thought.
Rimuru's goal was to establish a nation where humans and monsters could coexist in peace.
