Albur stopped walking forward, he stared at the walkie talkie, he begun knocking on the walkie talkie as it kept producing static voices. Mysty walked up to him, and looked at his walkie talkie.
"What's wrong?"
"This damn thing is unstable again! Rhea is saying something about....rain."
"Rain?"
"Whatever, let's just keep going."
The two followed the map and finally reached the hole that natural formed through collapsing that leads to B3. They stared down at it, looking for a safe place to jump down. Mysty jumped down first, she landed safely, but her expression immediately shifted when she looked forward. Albur sighed and stared at Havoc.
"So you're really not helping out, huh?"
"Do it yourself."
Albur looked down at the hole, he found a safe spot to land and leaped in. He landed on the floor of B3, but he quickly lose balance. But before he fell and hurt himself, Havoc emitted virus substances and created a hand and pulled Albur very quickly before he fell. Albur slowly gain back his balance and is able to stand still.
"Thanks, that's an insane reaction speed."
"Easy."
Albur cleaned the dust on his shirt and looked up, but he found Mysty staring at something. Her face is completely pale. He looked in front, and was shocked by what he saw.
In front of them is the car park, but crawled with dark purple colored fibrous virus substances. On each virus substance, tiny shards of corrupt splinters are seen on the virus substances. It seems like the Deadly Circus had been here before to plant corrupt splinters into the purple goo.
The whole place is also glowing a faint cyan light instead of the purple of AC-23 viruses. The ground is more weakened than that of the floor of B2. They could now see some small building that dropped into this floor.
Albur peeked into some of the buildings, all furniture and computers are gone, as expected. Mysty looked around the place, the Ac-23 goo were all being mutated by glitch powers.
"This place is bizarre."
"Let's get to the B4 as soon as possible. Rhea said there are abnormal life signs around here."
Just as Albur speak, they suddenly heard an extremely loud screech. The quickly drew out their weapons, aiming at all directions.
"What was that?"
"No idea."
Albur slowly stepped forward, then, he heard another screech. Albur looked at his rifle.
"Havoc, for goodness sake. Please! Help out this time!"
"Neh...Pfft, fine."
Havoc climbed out of the rifle's slot 3 hatch. He emitted a scanning wave. Then, the screech sounded again. Havoc detected it.
"3079 hertz, 97 decibels. Ten o' clock. "
Albur and Mysty turned to facing slightly to the left, a sunken building is there. They cocked their weapons and slowly approach that direction. The screech sounded again, but before it finish, it was ended by a squish noise. The 2 froze, and looked at each other in the eye.
They went around the building, and aimed their flashlight at the place where the sound came from.
They discovered a sofa, broken, torn, lying on the ground with its legs in the air. Albur slowly approached it, and realized its a virus lifeform taking the form of a smart sofa. Its mouth is the cushion of the sofa that has blunt teeth and a long tongue. It is dead, and seems like it just got attacked by other virus lifeforms.
"So this is where all those furniture went." Havoc stared down at the sofa.
"Virus lifeforms could also infect furniture huh, like the glitches."
"They're computer viruses, of course they can infect smart furniture."
Mysty looked down at the dead sofa, she kicked it. It suddenly squirmed its body and spat out virus liquid, before lying back down and blacken its eyes, following with the rainbow dots on it fading away.
"This isn't a good sign at all. That means there really are virus lifeforms down here."
Albur cocked the rifle using his arm and shoulder.
"Where are its killers? They can't be far away."
"Let's just skedaddle ASAP."
"Right."
They walked further into the car park, Albur tried to contact Rhea, to ask for the map to the hole leading to B4. But the signal is extremely weak, he couldn't hear any sound other than statics and what sounds to be rain fall and thunder roars.
"This is Albur. Rhea? Do you copy? I repeat. Do you copy?"
Nothing.
Mysty took out her walkie-talkie.
"This is Mysty. Rhea? Can you read me? Hello? Hello? Rhea? Covie?"
Still nothing.
Mysty sighed in annoyance. Havoc connected himself to the walkie talkie by plugging himself at its USB connector. He tried using his virus powers to kill the AC-23 that interrupts the data network transferring, except there isn't one, something else is blocking the signal from reaching Rhea's walkie-talkie.
"Strange, the signal isn't interrupted by AC-23 viruses."
"What?"
"Something else is blocking it, I don't know what is it."
"Huh."
Mysty stared at the ceiling, but forgot she is still underground.
Just then, Mysty's ears caught a deep growl. She froze, she slowly gripped onto her twin pistols and pushed one of her leg forward. She quickly turned around and fired the pistols.
The shots landed on the fragile ground, creating a huge gust of dust and explosion sparks. Albur heard the explode, he turned around.
"What's wrong?"
Mysty lowered her pistols. The gust of dust faded away, a creature in blue is standing behind them.
The creature is on all fours, sharp fangs and pointy nails like other virus lifeforms. But from the moment it snarled, the two immediately realized despite its look, it is something different. Its snarl sounds metallic and it echoes.
This 'virus lifeform' have a cyan body and violet eyes. It has weird looking dark violet colored limbs. What's bizarre is that it has human like arms and toes that are colored dark violet sticking out of its body, on its back and its rib cage. And unlike the rainbow dots the virus lifeforms had, it had glitch particles floating near it.
Albur pushed his foot backwards, he broke a sweat while raising his rifle at it. Mysty slowly backed away while her body trembles dangerously, with her pistols aimed at it.
"What is that thing...?"
Havoc emitted a scanning wave and scanned the creature. The creature is noticeably annoyed by the scanning wave. Havoc retracted the scanning wave and analyzed the data. To his horror, the 'virus lifeform' standing in front of them, have concentrated glitch energy on it.
"Warning: Glitch Energy Detected. Warning: Glitch Energy Detected."
Albur and Mysty turned to Havoc, with pale faces. The 'virus lifeform', or more better to be refered as a glitched lifeform begun to hiss, it lowered its body until its jaw touched the floor. Albur charged up a full charged Virus Corruption and aimed at it. Mysty had the taser at full voltage and had Concentration Shot ready.
"He-h-h-h-l---p-p-p-p.....lo-----k-k-kk-k-rRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUNNNNN!!!!!!!"
The glitched lifeform roared and pounced towards Albur. Albur fired the Virus Corruption at its stomach. But it penetrated its body. It pinned Albur on the floor, with its jaws opened to bite his face. Mysty used the taser and shot its eyes, blinding it. Albur drew out his shadow blade and stabbed its head. It backed away in pain, and shook its head.
Mysty quickly helped Albur up. The glitched lifeform started using glitch particles to cover its head, the particles healed the damage Albur did to it. Mysty and Albur froze in terror.
"It has glitch powers!"
Albur and Mysty then looked down at their weapons. They shared a nod and switched GK mode on both of their weapons.
The glitched lifeform snarled again and leaped towards Albur. He fired Virus Corruption again, this time, it hit the lifeform, it dropped onto the floor. Havoc's virus powers begun corrupting its body, breaking down its body and destroying it. Albur fired more rifle shots on it and Mysty fired more bullets on it. It could no longer fight back, it laid still, its body slowly dissolved.
Albur lowered the rifle, he stared at the glitched lifeform dissolve until it completely vanished.
"What the hell was that?"
Mysty lowered her twin pistols, and sighed. She looked at the surroundings, staring at the walls of the car park.
"Must be caused by these...freaking jackass corrupt splinters. They must be causing these creatures to be mutated with glitch powers..."
Havoc made a smirk sound.
"Oh....59, why can't you just rest easy?"
Albur finger flicked him.
Just then, the two heard another loud screech. It's ear-piercing and filled with agony, even worse than the previous screech made from that sofa virus lifeform. They looked towards the direction the sound came from, but they decided to just leave quickly.
They wandered around the B3 area, looking for any holes that can lead to B4. However, without a guide, looking for it is almost impossible. This whole area have pillars made out of glitched virus goo. As well as many more windows of buildings that fell in the hole.
They tried to have Havoc to munch a hole leading to B4, but when he munched a 3 foot hole, the floor begun sending cracks to the walls and ceiling. Havoc immediately stopped once he saw the cracks, even removing one small pebble from the hole made the whole place shake and drop down stones. It is very very VERY risky to keep digging the hole.
Just as Albur put Havoc back into the third slot of the rifle with only his left arm, they heard yet another loud screech. Annoyed, and frustrated out of pressure, Albur decides to go take a look and get rid of it.
He pulled the reload trigger on the rifle and stepped towards the place where the screech comes from. The screeches came from various areas in the car park, but Albur followed the screech noise that was made just now. Mysty just decides to follow him, as she is clueless on what to do now.
Albur walked to the place where the loud screech came from. He hid behind one of the virus substance pillars and peeked out from it.
There, he saw 5 purple virus lifeforms, they seem like a pack, 2 of them are furniture virus lifeforms. They were surrounded by 4 glitched lifeforms. The 5 pressed their back on each other's, facing outwards towards the surrounding glitched ones. Albur noticed that there are also some dead virus lifeforms on the floor, and he noticed the glitched ones have red liquid on their mouth. Too red to be paint.
Mysty who just arrived accidentally bumped into Albur. Albur made a gesture to tell her to be quiet. Mysty then slowly stuck her head out and peeked at the virus lifeforms.
One of the glitched lifeform snarled at one of the virus lifeform. It snarled back while lowering its body nearer to the ground. The glitched one charged towards the virus lifeform. It knocked it on the ground and pinned it. The others tried to help their fellow, but the other glitched ones pounced towards them and bit them.
After a few seconds of struggling and battling, the virus lifeforms stopped fighting back and laid still on the ground. The glitched ones roared in victorious joy, then begun tearing the flesh of the virus lifeforms and eating them.
Shivers were sent up to Albur's spine as he watches the glitched ones feast on the dead virus lifeforms. But then, Albur felt someone poking at his back, very rapidly and constant. He turned around, it was Mysty who was doing that.
"What?"
Mysty's face is pale, her body is trembling, she pointed at a direction. Albur looked towards it, and his face was filled with terror as well. They saw 3 glitched lifeforms with glowing cyan eyes, staring at them in the dark, whilst hissing. The glitched lifeforms that were eating also picked up the scent of 2 humans. They turned to look at behind the virus substance pillar, and found Albur and Mysty standing there. They all snarled at them.
"Curse you...Albur....coming here is a super....bad idea...."
"How would I know there are so many of them.....?"
Albur and Mysty entered battle stance. The 7 glitched ones slowly closed in their distance with the two of them, surrounding them.
However they didn't attack, they just kept growling at Albur and Mysty while slowly closing the distance. Albur strapped the rifle on his back, then slowly reached for his shadow blade.
"He....l.-p-p-p-p.....save-ve-ve-ve uUSSSSSSSSSSSSSZ!"
Albur switched activated the GK mode of the shadow blade as it retains its original ability when it is the shadow rifle. The shadow blade is coated in glitch killing powers. Albur lunged at one of the glitched lifeform, the blade pierced through its head. But Albur still lost his balance and fell.
The glitched lifeform spat out glitch particles and stumbled on the ground, and slowly dissolved.
The other glitched ones took a step back while snarling louder. Albur looked at the half dissolved virus lifeform, and smirked.
"GK tech works after all..."
Mysty quickly pulled him back up. The glitched ones all snarled and lunged forwards.
Mysty pulled Albur away, almost using up all her strength. She then charged up multiple orbs on her twin pistols and fire at the glitched ones continuously. 2 of them are badly wounded and dissolved. Leaving 4 more still snarling at Mysty. Albur used slot 2 of the shadow blade. The blade was coated with green lightning energy and is shaking violently.
Mysty stared at the remaining four glitched ones. They begun to split up and surround Mysty, they then pounced at her from different directions. Mysty gripped onto the pistols, and reloaded them.
"BULLET CYCLONE!"
Mysty spun herself around while firing the pistols. The bullets fired off in different angles and directions. They hit the glitched ones that pounce towards her. She stopped spinning after a while and steadied her stance.
Albur stared at the glitched ones lying on the ground, seeing them recover their injuries using glitch powers. He held onto the shadow blade horizontally, and pushed slot 2 again. The blade was being powered by green lightning again, glowing brighter and shaking more violently.
The glitched ones quickly stood up, they hissed at Albur while spraying saliva. Albur smirked and rushed towards them, while holding the shadow blade.
"Hyper Crescent Strike!"
Albur swung the blade at the glitched ones. The blade cut through the body of every single glitched lifeform. Green lightning crawled over their body, they fell on the ground and exploded, turning into ash.
Albur want to make a stylish pose while holding the shadow blade, but lost his balance once again when the explosion occurred. Mysty just stare at him, cold and expressionless.
"That was so uncalled for."
"At least you have to admit that was a cool name for a move."
"I doubt it."
Albur sat on the floor, exhausted and tired. Mysty leaned on a rock in the car park, and put her pistols into her gun holster. Albur sighed and glanced at the ceiling, his mind is blurry and he couldn't think of anything right now.
"Can we rest for a while? I don't feel like, keep walking...and walking....in this big, huge car park with zero guidance....."
Mysty sighed heavily, she rubbed her face and pulled it downwards.
"Sure....why not.....it'd be pointless to wander aimlessly..."
Mysty sat on the ground, leaning her head on the rock. Out of mental stress, she kept knocking the back of her head on the wall repeatedly.
Albur stared down at the floor. He would want to train right now, but he have no energy. After seeing bizarre things in the car park and having an intense fight while under a mission pressure and adapting losing an arm, his mind is completely exhausted.
He put his rifle and the shadow blade on the floor next to him. He lied flat on the floor, wanting to have some shut eye.
"Tired already?"
Albur turned to look at his rifle, Havoc crawled out of the third slot of the rifle and emitted a hologram of a floating head. Albur ignored him,
"Tired already?"
"Yes....."
"Huh, its only been....."
"JUST SHUT UP! I AIN'T HEARING NO AI TRASH TALK!"
Mysty was shocked by Albur's sudden yelling. Albur noticed she flinched, he quickly adjusted his messy emotions and took a heavy sigh.
"Now that's just rude...." the puny little AI thinks he is innocent.
"Ugh....can you turn on silent mode?"
"I can, but I don't wanna."
"You call that 90% obedience?"
"Fine."
Havoc shut up.
