Chapter 92 - Chapter 92: Artificial Intelligence's Directive

The crew quickly forgot about that event, they quickly tidied everything and prepared to move on.

Due to the fight earlier, Albur wasn't in very good condition to walk. Covie had fully healed his arms, but the trauma and extreme nervous reflexes caused his legs to ignore his commands.

The atmosphere inside the tumor had also caused some sickness among the crew. Even though their hazmat suits shielded them from most of its effects, the crew decided to let the computer trolley take them to the next core.

Rhea keyed in the instructions for the computer system. She connected the energy detector to the trolley's systems and programmed it to track the core and approach it. Rhea then took a chair and sat by the entrance, supervising the trolley while also making sure no virus lifeforms interfered with its journey or damaged it.

The rest of the crew stayed inside the hut.

Albur rested on the sofa, trying to get his trembling legs to stop. Covie looked through the medical guide saved in her system.

"After a few hours of rest, I'll do some reflex tests to make sure your legs are functioning properly."

"Ok... thanks."

Mysty took a few nutrient capsules and some water and placed them on the table in front of the sofa. She then sat down and sighed.

"That's strange. Last time Colonel Breach sliced off your arms too, but Covie healed them quickly, and your nervous system didn't fail like this," she muttered.

"I guess it's because of the environment here. This is a virus space, after all. Maybe it has heightened the senses. Plus, last time it was only one arm. This time, it's both."

"I don't know."

Covie flew around the hut, gathering the equipment she would need for the reflex tests. The hut have plenty of those since she sometimes do them with Johnson do ensure he is in good condition.

Albur sighed as he leaned back on the sofa. He rested his rifle next to him. The slot 3's hatch opened up, Havoc unplugged himself from the plug in point and wiggled himself out of the rifle. He glowed a faint light.

The whole moon hut starts moving, the crew could feel the moon hut shaking because of the rough floor in the tumor. Everyone sat on the sofa, Albur is still breathing heavily, remembering that split second his arm was gone.

"Tried not to remember that moment, you don't look good." Havoc advised.

"I don't think I could.....I'll try....."

Covie took all the equipment needed for the tests. As she was tidying them, she noticed the box on the dining table that contains Johnson's belongings. She floated to it, and took a peek inside. She was surprised that Johnson's stuff are in there. She stared at the special wrench, and thought for a second.

Mysty walked to the entrance, and stared at Rhea supervising the trolley. She took a peek outside, staring at the eerie environment covered with virus substances once known as Xectar City.

A scarecrow silently peeked the hut from behind a wall, Mysty doesn't seem to notice it.

Virus lifeforms stared at the hut and snarled, Mysty slowly went back into the hut.

"This mission is way more horrible than the previous one for sure....."

"I don't know how many times you have said that."

"That's understandable."

Albur turned his head to Havoc.

"What?"

"Imagine, last time you guys faced armies of glitches, they are smart and well organized."

Havoc stared at the entrance.

"Now look at this, those monsters don't speak, they don't monologue, instead they snarl and screech. Of course they are more terrifying."

Mysty slowly nodded,

Covie took the special wrench, she slowly floated to the sofa and looked at Havoc.

"Hey Havoc."

"Yes?"

"I'm a little curious, what exactly is your directive?"

"Oh, my directive? It's....mostly completed. Commander Glitch was taken down, its all rainbow and sunshine now. Other than my directive of following a new owner and solve his or her problem I have pretty much completed my purpose of existing. However my directives were also set with 3 rules."

Havoc then glowed, he opened up his shell, and showed a screen appearing above him.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________

[Directive rules: Transcendent Hyper Intelligent Network Knowledge Engine (model 62)]

1. Always obey the owner and follow his orders and answer questions (limited resistance is allowed but obedience is still required to remain above 90%)

2. Directive rule 1 becomes invalid if owner requires engine to undergo destructive activities

3. Concealed abilities may only be activated for purposes it determines to be just

Reminder: Information regarding to Transcendent Hyper Intelligent Network Knowledge Engine (model 59) shall be kept private for its sensitive context.

The crew stared at the screen, reading every word on it.

"But....the reminder might be useless now, since 59 is defeated. If I can change my directive freely I would happily remove the reminder." said Havoc.

Albur stared at rule 3 for a while, then, Havoc shut down the screen.

"Change directives....."

Covie looked at her own hands, and turned towards the special wrench. She scrolled through her directive screen, all of which is to help, obey and care for Johnson. Johnson recently gave her a new directive which is help and care for the crew.

Now Johnson is gone, most of her directives became invalid. Although she have the ability to change her directives, she isn't ready to change what it is yet.

"Though I'm surprised that the 'concealed powers' aren't actually that overpowered."

"You fool! You have no rights to say that! Just because you are undertrained doesn't mean that power is weak!"

Albur was startled.

"Ok, ok, sorry, don't need to be that angry....."

Havoc scoffed, and played a recording.

"An undertrained failure."

It was Rhea's recorded voice, its her criticize during the trial two days ago. Albur stared at Havoc, irritated. But still he understands he is still very weak right now, only if he trains, shall he master the true potential of the Prismatic Blade.

"You don't even know what are the powers of the blade! You simply name the moves when you see the ability of its base!"

"Well then give it a breakdown then! What is it? You can't?"

"Of course I could! You want it ay? Well then I will show you!"

Havoc started glowing, then, he fired out a screen. The screen hit Albur's face, he slightly leaned backwards, and lowered the screen. He rubbed his head and looked at the screen.

The screen showed 7 colors, which is Damson, Cobalt, Sky, Emerald, Amber, Clementine and Crimson.

"Damson, the most basic move, capable of teleporting the user within a 30 meter radius, but I can't stand your bad aim!"

"Ok, ok, don't have to be angry..."

Havoc sighed and continued.

"Cobalt, quite basic too, it fires out a wave of materialized virus particles that deal slice damage."

"I can see that, that is like an air slash. Oh yeah, the...sky move, that one is the purify wave right?"

"Not purify! Its an ability that sends out tiny virus particles. The particles could destroy things slowly, like munching them slowly, its just because it munched off the corrupting powers doesn't mean its a purify wave! It can deal damage you know?"

"Bro, why don't you tell me that earlier? I could've use that on Juggler."

"Anyway, Emerald I won't explain further, its just a move that sends out virus particles with the ability to make someone run like a wind, faster reaction speed and boosted strength."

"That one I don't really want to know, I haven't got Emerald access yet."

"Wait, yeah, speaking of this, why do you unlock powers depending on the access the owner has?" Mysty suddenly asked.

"Oh, um, well in Harry's nerdy thought process, people with higher access have higher responsibility so they are able to harness the better powers better than normal people. So yeah, if you hadn't got other access upgrades, sorry, you only get to teleport." Havoc explained.

"Oh,"

"Now to Amber, this one doesn't need too much explanation, does it?"

"You could command hexagon shards, make them attack, defend, carry things and more." muttered Albur.

"Exactly. Clementine, I won't say more about it."

"A laser."

"And next is Crimson, Crimson is harder to explain. Basically it forms a crimson colored aura made by the virus particles covering the sword and enhance its melee attacks."

"Now you say all of that I realized I would've get Juggler dead."

"You could, undertrained failure."

Albur exclaims in frustration, but managed to calm himself down.

"Now last but not least, the rainbow move. It takes 15 seconds to charge, a missing color requires additional 30 seconds. It could fire out anything based on what you want, a laser beam, a bullet, a giant slash, but um, not complaining for a Prismatic Guillotine, your a madman in giving move names."

"I will take that as a compliment....."

"Also, power slots boosts those moves too, but I guess that's exclusive to your rifle."

"Ok,"
