Chapter 75 - Chapter 75: Start Of A Trial

The crew walked for around an hour. Reaching closer and closer to the first core. But inside of the tumor is getting darker and darker. The road is hard to see, only dim purple light can be hardly seen.

"This place is getting creepier...." Covie grabbed onto Johnson's arm.

"Didn't notice it's already 7 o'clock." Murmured Albur.

"Should we kept going until we reach the core?" Asked Mysty.

Rhea looked at their surroundings.

"How should we rest here? The resource box has nothing we can use to rest. Plus, how are we gonna survive in this place where virus lifeforms crawl everywhere?" asked Rhea.

"I agree to that, but we still need resting somehow no? " asked Albur.

"Then give me a way we could sleep, without getting risk of getting ambushed by those saliva dripping freaks."

"Oh, I have a solution!"

Everyone stared at Covie.

"I knew we would have things like this, so I brought this!"

Covie took out something, but there is nothing in her hands. Johnson looked at her.

"Covie? That is air."

"Touch it."

"Why is your healer so hilarious?" Scoffed Rhea.

Johnson touched the 'air' in Covie's hands, but surprisingly, he could touch something, something made out of cloth.

"Wait a minute....."

Covie grinned. Albur and Mysty was confused, they touched the 'air' as well.

"Wait....no way....."

"You brought.....it?"

Covie giggled.

"What's so shocking?" Asked Rhea.

"Stand back, young lad." Johnson said in a sarcastic tone.

"I'm 32."

"No one asked."

Covie set up the 'air' and flew back to the crew.

"Done. "

"Are you guys crazy or I am not getting something?" Asked Rhea.

Johnson then approached to the 'air' and pulled it. To Rhea's surprise, there is a space there.

"Behold.....the secret moon hut. " laughed Covie.

"What do you mean?"

Rhea scanned the moon hut, but the scanner detected nothing. She used another even advanced scanner and finally found the moon hut.

"This is....."

"The moon hut, the place we slept during the infection. "

"Who the heck bring this thing?"

Johnson sighed and rubbed Covie's head.

"Oh, Covie you cheeky little drone."

Covie giggled.

The crew walked into the moon hut. Rhea was slightly surprised by the crew resting in here for the whole infection.

"Thought you guys sleep on metal board and use news tablets as blankets. "

"We aren't hobos."

The crew put their stuff near the entrance.

"We're resting that soon?" Asked Rhea.

"If you have a light source that can brighten the whole battle field we could continue." Said Albur.

"Agree, fighting at such a dark place is dangerous. " said Mysty.

Rhea rolled her eyes.

"But we could do other things here, like...planning on what should we do tomorrow?" Mysty suggested.

"What should we do besides reaching the core?"

"There are still survivors here no? Tomorrow I think we should also try and look for more of them as possible before moving on to the core."

"But there are still....."

Mysty and Johnson talked about the plan for tomorrow while Covie recharged herself using a hyper gem. Albur just yawned. Rhea looked around the hut, she then found a lantern that could glow quite a bright light.

"Hey square head! May I borrow this lantern for a while?" Rhea asked.

Johnson looked at her, irritated.

"Whatever."

"And also your digital world pistol? Which I heard is what you used during the infection. "

Johnson atared at her.

"Why would you need that?"

"Before I answer you in a way you don't like."

Johnson scoffed in anger, he pressed a button on his claw that showed a screen with many buttons on it. He pressed the button with the word 'Digital World Pistol'. The pistol appeared on the palm of the claw. Johnson grabbed it and tossed it to Rhea.

 "Use it, don't break it."

"I'll take that as a yes. "

Rhea then took the lantern and grabbed Albur by the collar, dragging him away which shocked him.

"Rookie, you're coming with me."

"What? What? Where are you taking me?"

Rhea dragged Alburbout of the moon hut. The rest of the crew atared at the entrance, and looked at each other, confused.

"Faster! This way!"

"Hold on...."

Rhea stopped at a spot. She pushed and let go of Albur. Then, she looked around the buildings near her, she then teared the water pipe of the building.

She then turned around and shot herself and Albur that brought them to the digital world. Albur nearly threw up but managed to hold it. Rhea just felt a little disgusting feel in her tongue.

"What's the big idea? "

Rhea scoffed, she lighten and put down the lantern near her feet. The lantern brightened the whole area, making it clear to see.

Rhea then pointed her finger at Albur and fired a rocket at him. Albur panicked, he grabbed his rifle and fired a shot at it, canceling out the attack.

"What was that for?!"

Rhea sighed.

"Just like I expected, "

Albur raised an eyebrow.

"As a member of the Glitch Wipeout Crew, I expect more from you, but it is absurdly disappointing. "

"What do you mean by that? That is so...."

"Out of the three fighters in your crew you are the most undertrained one. "

Rhea crossed her arms.

"First, you don't have much mastery on that rifle. You...."

"What do you mean by that? You never saw me during the infection! So you of course never..."

"That doesn't mean you have high skill on it. You have skill, but not enough."

Albur lowered his head.

"Do you know why you can beat the glitches? Admit it. Its because this rifle is created by square head to fight the glitches specifically. Now, we're not facing glitches, its the AC-23 virus mutated virus lifeforms."

Rhea scoffed,

"And now, look what you chose to do when you can't beat the virus lifeforms with your rifle. You chose to use the trump card. "

Albur looked at Havoc.

"And what you did with the trump card is absolutely GARBAGE, I'm starting to think that Havoc chose the wrong person. I know, you beat Commander Glitch. But the reason you could? He is gigantic, meaning you less likely miss the shots. Second, Havoc is literally made to defeat him by Harry, effectiveness plus one million points. And third, you are carried by the awakening. Without the abilities awakening gives you, you are just sitting ducks with that Prismatic Virus Blade. Even you have that great power, without the knowledge and skill to use it well, you'll never master its full power. "

"Dang she's right." Havoc scoffed.

Albur lowered his head.

"Then...what should I do? "

"I'm going to train you."

"Huh?"

Rhea picked up the metal pipe she teared just now, and tossed it towards Albur. Albur caught it, but looked at Rhea in confusion.

"From today onwards, every night, I will start a trial with you, to help you master the power of the Prismatic Blade as well as your rifle. "

"Wait, what? "

Rhea stood in front of him, she raised her palm.

"Let's see what you can do first."

"Wait, shouldn't we start from the rifle?"

"Hurry up genius, I don't have all day."

Albur looked at the metal pipe, and sighed. He put his rifle on the floor nearby and gripped onto the pipe. Rhea smirked and entered battle stance. Albur steadied his body, and took a deep breath.

He raised the pipe and rushed towards Rhea, he swung it and struck her with it. Rhea dodged them and kept changing position. Albur kept attacking and swinging the pipe, trying to land a hit on Rhea, but he couldn't. Rhea observed Albur's every attempt closely. After a while, Rhea used her fist and punched Albur's pipe. The pipe was knocked off Albur's hands, falling onto the ground. Rhea then punched Albur in the stomach and followed by a series of punches, causing him to fall onto the ground. Albur groaned in pain, Rhea took the pipe and placed it near his neck.

"Lesson 1, grip onto your weapon firmly. Your weapon is the your greatest tool you use to defend yourself and attack enemies in battles. If you can't grip on it and let the enemies knock it off your hands, you are basically toast, or worse, it will be used against you. "

Albur slowly got back up, Rhea tossed the pipe to him again.

"Again, but, do better."

Albur gulped as he picked up the pipe.

He gripped it with all of his strength, trying his best not to make it fall. But when he is attacking, his hits barely do any damage, and gripping it using all of his strength immediately stressed him out, making him loosen the grip. Rhea took that chance and knocked the metal pipe off his hands and kicked him before pinning him onto the floor.

"Not that hard rookie, gripping it that hard gives no benefits. Again! Do better!"

Albur was lightly irritated. He picked up the pipe and attacked Rhea again and again. And Rhea defeated him again and again.

"Again!"

"Grip it correctly!"

"Wrong spot!"

"Are you left handed?"

"Do better!"
