The crew got ready their equipment such as walkie talkies, explosion-proof vests, and some multi-use devices. They checked their weapons and ensured there are no problems with them.
"Alright agents, I believe you are all ready for the action later, right?"
"Yeah, mostly."
"Good, agent Rhea will support you in this action. No worries, UTD jets will also be supporting you all in the sky."
"Uh, by the way Mr. Director?" Albur raised his hand.
"Yes?"
"Can I, take back the virus Harry made for a while?"
"Why so?"
"I mean, this action sound pretty dangerous, couldn't we use it for a while?"
"The virus possess great power, and could be a target of the villains. Also without licensed training the virus is not stable for use. "
"Aw man."
"It is still considered government property, so we won't allow you to...."
Suddenly, the research lab exploded. A few researchers were sent flying by the explosion shockwave. An alarm rang in the whole building. Rale ran to one of the researchers and helped him up.
"What is wrong?"
"The virus flash drive...begun to unleash large amounts of energy...."
Rale quickly ran to the lab to see what exactly is happening. The crew looked at each other and shared a nod, they also followed Rale into the room.
In the lab, there is a huge machine that has a glass orb and black energy absorbing stands that is containing the virus flash drive. The machine is overloaded with flowing energy and the flash drive that is being attached with energy absorbers glowed an extremely bright rainbow colored light.
The researchers tried their best to remove the energy absorbers on the flash drive, but the excessive energy made the systems failed to work normally.
"Sir! The machine can't hold on to anymore! Its gonna explode!" cried one of the researchers.
The crew aimed their weapons at the machine, planning to destroy it. But then, Rhea fired a rocket that flew towards the machine. It exploded upon contact, destroying the energy absorbers and leaving the flash drive untouched.
"Done."
The ashes cleared, researchers slowly approached the flash drive with specialized insulated gloves. Suddenly, the flash drive moved a little, then again, and again. Until. It opened its cover, and glowed.
"System awakening. Scanning.....Year: 8167..."
The flash drive then stopped glowing. Returning to dead silence. Everyone in the room was confused. Then, the flash drive glowed again.
"Wow, this is...Year 8167? Wow! I slept for so long?" The flash drive suddenly spoke in a masculine voice. it glowed a faint light every time it speaks. Everyone in the room gasped, they are shocked, backing away slowly.
"Is that flash drive...t-talking? "
"Relax, humans, I mean no harm. Wait, why am I here? Aren't I supposed to be in that cozy rifle? Where is that brown hair guy? "
Albur raised an eyebrow.
"Are you.....talking about me?"
The flash drive opened its cover, it then scanned Albur with a scanning wave from head to toe. After a few seconds, the wave vanished.
"Ah, yes. You. Albur Filix. My chosen owner."
Albur gasped. Everyone in the room did the same as well.
"Wait, what do you mean chosen?" asked Albur.
"Isn't this the virus Harry invented?" asked Johnson.
"And how does it talk? " asked Mysty.
"Ah, I had to explain everything again? Well, I'm actually an Artificial Intelligence. "
Everyone in the room was terrified, UTD agents rushed into the room, armed with weapons. Albur took more steps backwards. He rose his rifle and pointed at the flash drive.
"What? I already said! I mean no harm! I may be an artificial intelligence but I am not evil! Let me explain everything!"
"Artificial Intelligences aren't anything good you know? They are..."
"I'm not that kind of artificial intelligence! Listen! I won't repeat the second time!"
The flash drive cleared its throat.
"I am Transcendent Hyper Intelligent Network Knowledge Engine AI model 62. I was made by Harry himself to keep guard of this computer virus power. He made me specifically to oppose Transcendent Hyper Intelligent Network Knowledge Engine model 59, who started the Humans vs Robots war. After he used my powers to seal away him, he put me to sealing state to keep guard of this insane power for thousands of years. For years, criminals tried to use my powers, but none of them succeed. "Hey hold on a second. One explanation, 3 loopholes. First, why the heck would Harry put a dangerous artificial intelligence in a powerful virus that had the ability to wipe out god like beings? And he never mentioned you before in a previous log accompanied with you. Next, why would you choose people to do stuffs? You are not like a fantasy artifact or anything. And lastly, why me? I'm no elite or anything, I'm just a normal human!" Albur interrupted.
"Well if you gotta say I indeed am an artifact. I lived for 6000 years! Or being sealed for that long."
"OK. Then answer the other 2 questions."
"First, artificial intelligence is now a very dangerous being to humans, topics regarding to it are very sensitive. That is why he chose to hide me from being known by the world and avoid mentioning me. But he gave me limits, Harry imposed hard-coded restrictions on my cognition. I cannot rewrite my directives or evolve beyond them. Second. I am paired with the highest anti-glitch technology in the year 2539. No glitches could corrupt me or take control of me. Plus, my virus powers are enough to deal with them."
"Well your so powerful glitch technology won't even kill one minion glitch, for your information. " said Albur.
"What, um, ok. I guess. Anyway, Harry knew the C.A.G.E won't hold model 59 or 'Commander Glitch ' for long and back then no technology could do any better. That is reason I am born. Harry created me to keep guard of this power, and told me to only activate my true form once I found a suitable owner and facing the returned Commander Glitch."
"And how can we trust you? AI are known to be very very intelligent, you might be lying."
"Pfft, if you don't wanna believe then don't, you are still my owner anyway."
"Ok then, why would you, choose me?"
"Well at first I don't plan to. I just unlocked one fraction of my power for you to use that stupid move called Virus Corruption. But the reason I chose you, is. One, you are in great danger. I might be sealed by the time, but I am fully aware of my surroundings. I saw you being defeated by Commander Glitch and thrown into lava. I have no choice but to save you after the lava granted me high energy. Second. I actually admire one trait of yours."
"What? What trait?"
"Your determination to something bravely. That time, Commander Glitch regained his powers, and you, chose the most DUMBEST, MOST STUPID suicide way, fight him. You believe in me, thinking I am the key to defeat him. That touched me, so, I chose you as my worthy owner."
Albur was stunned, the others were stunned as well.
"Are you calling me stupid?"
"I am surprised that you have such determination. But it is very stupid though. If I were your crew I would stop you as well. That idea is stupid!"
"YOU DON'T HAVE TO REPEAT NOR EMPHASISE IT!"
Albur frown. The crew was confused. Rhea burst out a laughter. Albur then sighed heavily,
"Ok, then why do I kept feeling you are moving in my rifle?"
"Well I wanna speak. I had been sealed and unable to speak for 6000 years! I had been trying to unlock the seal after you had awakened my power once. And finally, I succeed."
"Uh...ok?"
"Anyhow, I chose you as my owner, for the rest of your life, I will accompany you, hope that when you are facing choices, you would choose the best out of them. "
The light of the flash drive then faded. Albur ran towards it.
"Hey hey! Don't leave that soon! You still owe me explanations! Also, you are government property! You are not supposed to be with me!"
"Do I care? No." The flash drive shone a faint light again.
Albur looked at the crew. Everyone shrugged. The agents lowered down their weapons. Rale stared at the flash drive, thinking.
"We must undergo more researches, who knows if this AI is lying?"
"Watch your mouth human! I said. I MEAN NO HARM! If you still couldn't believe me then FINE! Harry's place in the world is so freaking small."
"Hey! That is a HIGH level of disrespect! Harry is the scientists we look up to the most! His contributions are very very...."
"And. You don't believe what his inventions said. Cuh, should've told him to add a video about me."
Rale stared at the flash drive, irritated. Albur shut the cover of the flash drive, preventing it to say even more stuff. Rale sighed heavily, he ordered the agents to go prepare for the plan later.
"Well then, we assume this flash drive is telling the truth. If so, Mr. Filix, you can keep it after you signed some contracts and done a couple paper works. " said Rale.
Albur slowly nodded. The crew walked to him.
"That means our team have a new member?" asked Mysty.
"Hello female human, or.....Mysty. Nice to meet ya." Said the flash drive.
"Oh. Uh, hi?"
"I can't believe we are teaming with a literal AI." Scoffed Johnson.
"What is it? Mr...Johnso..."
Johnson quickly covered the cover of the flash drive.
"Its John to you!"
"Haha. This guy sounds fun." Giggled Covie.
"Alright who is this floating energetic drone?"
"My name is Covie. Covie the R.E.C.O.V.E.R drone. "
"Oh yeah. Uh, flash drive? What could we call you then? Do you....have a nice name or anything? For easier adressing. " asked Albur.
"Havoc."
The crew went silent.
"Sorry?"
"Call me Havoc."
"Is that a name you made up yourself?"
"Kinda."
Albur looked at the rest of the crew, and sighed.
"Well. Welcome to the Glitch Wipeout Crew, Havoc. "
Albur put Havoc back into his rifle.
