Chapter 147 - Chapter 147: Even His Avatar Is This Strong?

Kaluu looked at Karl's avatar before him, unable to understand what was happening.

For a sorcerer at Karl's level to know avatar magic was not something he found impossible to understand.

But what the hell was this?

One spell had tied him up?

Could it be that the one outside Earth was actually the main body?

Kaluu continuously mobilized the powerful mana within his body.

Only after several dozen seconds did the spell loosen slightly.

That shocked him even more.

What kind of spell was this absurd?

It looked as though it borrowed Cyttorak's power.

But he did not remember Kamar-Taj having this kind of magic.

Could it be that over all these years, the Ancient One had also improved her magic?

Kaluu was full of doubts.

But his movements did not stop in the slightest. He began using every bit of mana he could mobilize, pushing himself into overload and casting magic that violated the rules of the outer layer.

On the other side, Karl also began asking questions.

"Who are you?"

Karl started the interrogation.

"Me?"

"I am the master of Kamar-Taj."

Hearing Karl ask this, Kaluu's face revealed an extremely arrogant expression.

"The master of Kamar-Taj?"

"You? A man who has mixed himself up with two demons dares claim that?"

Karl spoke with utter disdain.

"I was merely stringing them along."

"Besides, so what if I cooperated with demons?"

"As long as I can kill the Ancient One and reclaim Kamar-Taj, it will all be worth it."

Kaluu spoke coldly.

"I remember now. You are Kaluu."

"That arrogant, treacherous bastard, right?"

"You tried to rely on the power of magic to control the world, then were exiled into the Deep-Layer Dimension by the Ancient One."

"You actually came back?"

A trace of surprise appeared on Karl's face.

The space of the Marvel universe was vast.

It was also extremely dangerous.

Especially the Deep-Layer Dimension. It was endless.

Most people exiled into the Deep-Layer Dimension became lost within its boundless depths.

Then they died when their lifespans ran out.

What kind of luck did this guy have to actually find his way back?

Karl's expression showed surprise.

But Kaluu's face was filled with rage.

"It's all lies!"

"The Ancient One is a hypocrite!"

"Her heart is black!"

"Back then, when I returned to Kamar-Taj,"

"I was the one who shared my magical power with her!"

"But what did she do? She exiled me into the Deep-Layer Dimension without the slightest hesitation!"

"I wandered aimlessly inside it for hundreds of years!"

"You have no idea what kind of pain that was!"

"And she is the Sorcerer Supreme? She deserves that title?"

Kaluu spoke with a ferocious expression.

The look on his face was extremely savage. It seemed he truly hated the Ancient One down to the bone.

Karl did not speak.

He had not witnessed what happened all those years ago.

Kaluu's matter was something he had only read about in ancient records.

But the Ancient One had protected Earth for hundreds of years and sheltered tens of thousands of sorcerers of Kamar-Taj.

For hundreds of years, she had not craved comfort, nor had she manipulated power for personal gain.

Meanwhile, the sorcerer before him had just formed an alliance with two of the most evil demons in the universe and plotted against Kamar-Taj.

Even a fool could see the truth.

Even granting him every possible benefit of the doubt, the Ancient One had treated Karl very well. As for the man in front of him, who the hell was he?

"No matter what you say, it cannot change the fact that you colluded with demons."

Karl spoke coldly.

"You're right!"

"I did collude with demons!"

"And I am going to kill every last disciple and descendant taught by the Ancient One!"

"Then I will establish my own Kamar-Taj!"

Kaluu suddenly shouted.

Bang!

A sound like ropes snapping rang out.

The Crimson Bands of Cyttorak around his body were torn apart directly.

Powerful mana erupted from him.

"Die!"

Without another word, he stabbed toward Karl before him.

Karl's face showed no surprise at all.

He brought both hands forward and pinched.

That purple lightsword was caught directly between two of his fingers.

"Looks like sorcerers from a few hundred years ago are nothing special either."

Karl shook his head and spoke.

"Nothing special?"

"Young man, you are far too arrogant!"

"Your greatest mistake was touching my blade with your fingers!"

Kaluu laughed loudly.

The lightsword in his hand immediately released a strange purple energy.

It was like a living creature as it spread toward Karl's hand.

Karl glanced at his own hand.

With a flick of his fingers, he sent the purple lightsword flying.

Then he shook his hand.

The purple energy on his hand vanished directly.

"Is that so?"

"Then let me see whether you truly possess an immortal body."

The next instant, Karl's figure became ghost-like.

He pressed directly to Kaluu's side and punched straight toward Kaluu's face.

Kaluu had never expected that Karl, as a sorcerer, would possess such speed.

Caught off guard, he was struck directly in the face by Karl's punch.

Crack!

In an instant, half of his face twisted.

The bones had collapsed inward.

If this had been an ordinary person, they would probably already be dead.

But Kaluu was, after all, a sorcerer capable of surviving in the Deep-Layer Dimension.

Whatever else might be said, his ability to preserve his life was first-rate.

In an instant, he dodged to an extremely distant position and looked at Karl with a face full of shock.

Was this a joke?

An avatar was this powerful?

Just now, he could sense that he simply could not keep up with this man's speed.

If Karl had intended to kill him, he might already be dead now.

How could such an absurd sorcerer exist in this world?

"Show me some real skill."

"If you do not, you may die."

Karl spoke calmly.

He was not doing this to toy with Kaluu.

Rather, he wanted to see whether he could comprehend new spells.

The universe within his body needed enough laws in order to grow.

Naturally, he had to look for opportunities to comprehend more laws and increase his own strength.

An old relic from several hundred years ago might have some strange techniques.

It would be a waste not to take advantage of that.

"Kid."

"People who are too arrogant die very quickly."

Kaluu stared at Karl with an extremely sinister expression.

Very sinister.

As an old monster who had lived for several hundred years, being treated like this naturally made him angry.

"Your anger is useless."

"Either you destroy this avatar of mine and turn around to leave,"

"Or you are killed by me right here."

Karl glanced at Kaluu calmly.

His face was filled with killing intent.

Kaluu's expression also turned cold.

But his heart was somewhat uneasy.

It seemed he was not this kid's opponent.

For a moment, Kaluu already began thinking of retreat.

Should he leave?
