Chapter 103 - Chapter 103: Law of Light? Double-Layered Mirror Dimension

Boom!

A tremendous roar erupted through the air.

The two enormous spheres Dormammu had summoned

left wave after wave of thunderous rumbling in the sky,

as if some colossal thing were crushing its way forward.

The pressure alone was enough to make the guards stumble.

Karl's expression, however, remained perfectly calm.

Only when the massive spheres reached him

did he raise a hand.

"Sacred Sword of the Vishanti!"

Platinum-white light blazed to life in Karl's hand,

as if a second sun had appeared.

The brilliant platinum radiance gave off a warm feeling.

On the spheres Dormammu had summoned,

the twisted, evil aura around them

actually began to weaken under the cleansing wash of that platinum-white light.

Even though the giant spheres still looked hideous,

their strange aura had disappeared.

It was as if they had become two completely ordinary balls.

Karl did not hesitate.

The powerful magic inside him surged wildly,

and the air itself seemed to fill with the sound of a great river rushing forward.

The Sacred Sword of the Vishanti in his hand swelled with the wind.

In less than a second,

the platinum-white holy sword became a giant blade several meters long.

The light radiating from it grew even more intense.

Karl swung the weapon in his hand

and slashed straight at the spheres.

With a wet slicing sound,

the huge spheres were cut apart as easily as butter beneath a sharp knife.

In the blink of an eye,

Karl split them in two.

The remaining fragments

were directly vaporized by the overwhelming power of light on the holy sword.

"Dormammu, since you've already made your move,"

"now it's my turn."

Karl had held back earlier only because he had been testing Dormammu's true strength.

Now it seemed

that this avatar of Dormammu could not bear his full power at all.

This was the limitation of a lord of dimensions.

Within the Dark Dimension, he was boundlessly powerful,

but once he returned outside,

his power weakened drastically.

Karl drove the holy sword in his hand forward in a slash.

Dormammu's expression changed dramatically.

With a flash, dark power surged around him,

and he barely managed to evade the attack.

But Karl pressed the advantage without mercy.

That was the beauty of an energy weapon—its weight could be adjusted at will.

The holy sword drifted like a falling leaf,

then abruptly reversed direction and swept upward.

It grazed past Dormammu's arm as it cut through.

Dormammu failed to dodge in time.

His entire left arm

was severed by the holy sword on the spot.

The severed arm fell to the ground

and immediately turned into a streak of black gas.

Dormammu's face darkened.

He activated the power of darkness to repair his body.

But

on the wound,

a layer of white flame still clung to it. For a time,

his injury could not heal.

Dormammu's expression turned even uglier.

He could only retreat hundreds of meters,

staring fixedly at Karl.

"The Law of Light?!"

Dormammu's face was grim as water, and shock surged through his heart.

He knew this sorcerer had mastered multiple laws.

But

how could this kid's comprehension of different laws

all be so absurdly powerful?

For one person to devote themselves to a single law and master it well was already genius.

To study two laws was already a world-rarity.

But

up to this point, the sorcerer before him

had already displayed three different laws.

And among them were two laws that directly conflicted with one another.

Most importantly,

his understanding of them was astonishingly deep.

What kind of monster

was this kid?

What kind of talent was this?

Dormammu was beginning to regret things.

He felt he should have used his full power to condense a proper avatar.

If he had,

the situation would never have become so passive.

Only after great effort

did Dormammu finally suppress the white flames burning on his arm.

No matter how unwilling he was,

he still opened his mouth and said,

"Thanos, are you still not going to act?"

Hearing that, a strange smile appeared on Thanos's face.

"So even the great dark demon Dormammu needs someone else's help?"

"Either way, what I have here is only an avatar. Even if it dies, it doesn't matter."

"But what about you?"

Dormammu sneered.

Thanos's heart sank.

If Dormammu's avatar died, it would not matter much.

He was different. He had come here in person.

Thanos snorted coldly and shouted directly at Karl,

"Karl, surrender without resistance!"

"Thanos, do you take me for a fool?"

"You expect me to surrender?"

Karl let out a mocking laugh as he spoke.

"Hmph."

"If you refuse to surrender, your companions will die."

As he spoke,

Thanos's figure vanished at once.

The next moment,

he appeared directly beside Baron Mordo and the members of the Avengers.

In his hand, the Power Stone lit up,

its purple energy radiating a terrifying aura.

Clearly,

if Karl refused,

Thanos would attack the sorcerers immediately.

"As expected of the most infamous butcher in the universe."

"You really can use any despicable method imaginable."

Karl could not help but sigh.

"They are only methods."

"To achieve a great goal, sacrifices must be made."

"If necessary, even I would die for my ideals."

"I'm sure they wouldn't mind helping me fulfill that great dream."

Thanos said this without even lifting his eyelids.

"Heh."

"How shameless."

"If you've got the nerve, then do it."

Karl's expression did not change in the slightest. He simply looked at Thanos.

"You truly are cold-blooded. You would even kill your own side."

"In that case, as you wish."

Thanos said coldly.

Blinding purple light burst from his fist.

Without another word, he struck toward the sorcerers and the Avengers.

The violent surge of energy

instantly shattered several strange rocks nearby.

But

when the smoke cleared,

Thanos's pupils contracted.

He discovered, to his shock,

that after his attack with the Power Stone,

the sorcerers were completely unharmed.

"What?!"

Thanos showed open shock.

But he quickly reacted.

"A second layer of space?"

"Your mastery of space has actually reached such a terrifying level?"

Thanos could not help blurting it out.

This sorcerer

had actually created yet another layer of space inside an existing space.

That was far beyond merely creating a separate space.

This sorcerer's

mastery over space had reached this kind of level.

"When did you—?"

Thanos's expression changed as he spoke.

"Of course I knew from the beginning."

"I said it before—Infinity Stones aren't invincible."

"Your soul will not appear inside a false illusion."

"Your use of the Infinity Stones is still incomplete."

Karl said calmly.

The Infinity Stones were indeed terrifying.

Unfortunately,

Thanos had not yet fully mastered their frightening power.

Naturally, Karl had been able to spot the flaw.

For a moment,

Thanos and Dormammu both fell silent.
