Karl was an extremely cautious man.
He knew that battles at the Skyfather level were unimaginably destructive.
If figures like the Ancient One or Odin truly started moving without restraint, the entire Earth could be destroyed.
After all, even if every nuclear weapon humanity had ever built detonated at once, they still would not do any real damage to the planet itself.
At most, humanity would only wipe itself out.
But a Skyfather-level battle could easily destroy a planet the size of Earth.
That alone showed just how terrifying the power of a Skyfather truly was.
So, in order to protect Earth, the moment Karl appeared, he used the Mirror Dimension to drag all of New York City into it.
He simply had not expected that this steady, defensive move would still fail to hold Dormammu back.
At Karl's current level of mastery over space, even Dormammu, a dimensional demon, felt genuine astonishment.
Unfortunately, Dormammu was still a dimensional demon with extremely powerful attainments in spatial power.
When it came to the Mirror Dimension, not even the Ancient One could match him.
Very quickly, the inwardly shocked Dormammu found a tiny crack in the Mirror Dimension.
He first turned back to glance at the Sanctum standing across the street.
Then he shook his head.
"The Ancient One really is cautious."
"Does she not care whether her disciples live or die?"
"At a time like this, she's still hiding inside the Sanctum."
"She wasted such a perfect opportunity for me. Looks like I can only kill these sorcerers first before making my move."
Dormammu spoke while sighing regretfully and shaking his head.
If he had been given the chance, he truly would not have minded selling Thanos out and turning on him directly.
Unfortunately, the Ancient One was far too cautious and gave him no such opening.
With that thought, Dormammu no longer hesitated and began to unleash his immense power.
Dark Power surged violently.
The crack between reality and the mirror world began to tremble violently.
Dormammu's powerful avatar wasted no time and forced its way in.
At the same time, inside the Mirror Dimension, Karl sensed the disturbance at once.
"Thanos, I never thought you'd actually live long enough to see this day."
"You're working with Dormammu. Aren't you afraid this guy will swallow you too?"
Karl let out a cold laugh as he spoke.
Thanos remained unmoved.
He simply continued borrowing the power of the Infinity Stones to repair the injuries on his body.
In just that brief span of time, all the wounds on him had completely vanished.
Karl nodded to himself.
Though the Eternals were also a branch of humanity, compared to ordinary humans, they were truly terrifying.
After musing over that inwardly, he stopped paying attention to Thanos and instead turned his head.
"Senior Brother Mordo, prepare for battle."
"Dormammu is coming."
"Even if this isn't his true body, it definitely won't be easy to deal with."
"Tell everyone to put on their artifacts so they won't be bewitched."
Mordo nodded.
He passed the order to the sorcerers behind him.
All the sorcerers immediately became more alert.
They cast all kinds of enhancement spells on themselves, and every one of them put on their artifacts.
Crack!
A splitting sound rang out across the sky.
It was like the earth itself was tearing apart, like a volcano erupting.
The immense noise even made people's hearts tremble, forcing them to cover their ears.
Even the physically powerful sorcerers were no exception.
They frowned in pain and looked up at the sky.
Karl raised his brows as well and waved a hand.
A platinum-white barrier appeared out of thin air, directly shielding the sorcerers along with several injured lower-ranking sorcerers.
Only then did the pain on their faces ease slightly.
"Dormammu, since you're here, stop skulking around."
"Why vent your anger on the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj?"
Karl's voice spread out like rolling thunder.
The instant his voice rang out, the sky suddenly dimmed, as if the sun had vanished in an instant and all light had been swallowed whole.
A strange blackness appeared inside the Mirror Dimension.
Karl's side was filled with light, while the other side was drenched in darkness.
"Too ugly to show yourself?"
Karl spoke again.
The darkness vanished at once, like snow and ice melting away.
Dormammu's figure emerged from the darkness.
Dormammu's avatar looked somewhat similar to Thanos, but he had three pairs of orange eyes.
He carried no weapon.
He stood a full three meters tall, towering far above an ordinary person.
"You sorcerers of Kamar-Taj really don't know your place."
"You still dare act this arrogantly in front of me?"
Dormammu's hoarse voice rang out.
"We at Kamar-Taj have never had the habit of bowing to villains."
Karl replied without the slightest hesitation.
"Hmph."
"If Thanos weren't such trash, you wouldn't even have the qualifications to stand before me today."
Dormammu spoke arrogantly.
"Trash? Sounds like your partnership isn't exactly harmonious."
"Thanos, why are you so quiet?"
"Looks like your ally doesn't think much of you at all."
Karl did not hesitate. He turned his head and looked directly at Thanos as he said it.
Thanos's gaze turned gloomy, and fury surged in his heart.
Even though he knew Karl was trying to sow discord, he still could not stop himself from growing angry.
He, too, was one of the great overlords of the universe.
When had he ever been insulted like this?
Still, this was not the time to lash out.
Thanos shot Dormammu a dark look, and immense power burst from the Infinity Gauntlet.
"Dormammu, did you come here just to chat with him?"
"Hurry up and kill him."
"I will honor our agreement and help you dominate the universe."
Thanos spoke coldly.
Dormammu gave no clear response. The expression in his eyes as he looked at Karl became increasingly dangerous.
"So you're planning to gang up on me?"
"I really didn't expect beings with reputations as great as yours across the universe to stoop to bullying one man with many."
Karl narrowed his eyes as he spoke.
"You already said it yourself. We're villains."
"So naturally…"
"We have no rules!"
Dormammu shouted.
With a lift of his hand, black light flashed.
A black spike several meters thick suddenly appeared behind Karl and shot straight toward him.
The power behind it made even space tremble.
It was an enormous object, yet it erupted with astonishing speed.
A smile appeared at the corner of Dormammu's mouth.
Pathetic human, die!
He roared inwardly, as if he could already see Karl being crushed into a bloody pulp.
"What?!"
Dormammu's eyes suddenly widened.
He saw Karl merely wave a hand, and spatial power emerged.
Dormammu's attack exploded on the spot.
This brat's comprehension of the Law of Space had already reached this level?
Not even the Ancient One had been this monstrous.
What exactly was going on with this kid?
