The Fairy Tail guild hall was loud.
As usual.
Tables rattled. Someone was yelling about a broken chair. Cana was laughing far too hard at something Gray had just said. The fire crackled warmly as winter crept closer outside.
And at the center of it all—
Erza and Mirajane were not being subtle.
"So," Mirajane said sweetly, leaning over the table, chin resting on her hands, pink eyes sparkling. "Kaito~ you've been spending an awful lot of time with Erza lately."
Erza crossed her arms, smirking. "Jealous?"
"Me?" Mira gasped theatrically. "Never. I just think it's cute how serious you pretend to be while staring at him."
"That's rich coming from you," Erza shot back. "You've been hanging off his arm all week."
The tension was sharp.
Playful. Competitive. Loud.
Juvia sat slightly to the side, fingers twisting together, face already warm. Why are they like this…? she thought, trying very hard not to look directly at Kaito.
Kaito, meanwhile, sighed.
Once.
Then he stood up.
The guild quieted just a little—just enough to notice movement.
Erza blinked. "Kaito?"
Mirajane tilted her head. "Hm?"
He didn't say anything.
He simply leaned in—
—and kissed Mirajane on the cheek.
A soft, quick peck.
Nothing more.
Mirajane froze.
Her confident smile vanished instantly, replaced by wide eyes and a bright flush spreading across her cheeks.
"…Eh?" she squeaked.
Before Erza could laugh—
Kaito turned and did the same to her.
A light kiss to Erza's cheek.
Erza's entire body stiffened.
Her face went scarlet in a heartbeat. "W—Wha—?!"
The table exploded.
"OHHHH?!"
"HE DID IT!"
"ERZA'S REDDER THAN HER ARMOR!"
Mirajane slapped her hands over her face. "Y-You can't just do that!"
Erza turned away sharply, arms crossed tighter, steam practically rising from her head. "…You're impossible."
Kaito smiled. Mission accomplished.
Silence.
Well—their silence.
Then he turned.
Juvia had completely shut down.
Her brain was gone. Her soul had left her body. Her face was the color of a sunset.
"K-Kaito…?" she whispered.
He stepped closer.
Juvia's heart nearly exploded.
He leaned down—
—and gently pressed a longer, lingering kiss to her cheek.
Still innocent. Still soft.
But to Juvia?
It was catastrophic.
Her knees buckled.
"—JUVIA IS DEAD," she squeaked, hands flying to her face as she collapsed onto the bench.
The guild roared.
Laughter, cheers, pounding tables.
Cana grinned. "Kid's dangerous."
Gray stared. "How is he winning?"
Lysanna clapped happily. "That was cute!"
Elfman nodded seriously. "Very manly."
Erza peeked sideways at Kaito, still flustered. "…You did that on purpose."
Mirajane lowered her hands, smiling again—but softer this time. "Maybe we deserved it."
Juvia hid her face, smiling so hard it hurt.
Juvia will remember this forever…
Kaito sat back down like nothing happened, calmly sipping his drink as Fairy Tail returned to its usual chaos—just a little louder, a little warmer, and a lot more amused.
Above them all, the guild felt closer than ever.
