Jhonathan lost.
Not against a god.
Not against a king.
Not against some immortal monster.
A mortal defeated him.
The thought alone shattered something inside his pride.
He laid silently on a small bed inside one of the abandoned houses near Saturn District. Moonlight entered through the cracked window, illuminating the bandages wrapped around his chest and stomach.
The poison was mostly gone now.
But the feeling remained.
Failure.
Tears rolled down his cheeks quietly.
No rage.
No screaming.
Just exhaustion.
"I thought I was a hero…"
His voice trembled.
"But I'm just a freak."
The room stayed silent.
Outside, rain slowly began falling against the rooftops.
Jhonathan covered his eyes with one arm.
He remembered the concert.
The terrified crowd.
The assassins.
The K-pop members he failed to save because he lost himself to the poison and rage.
Even after everything—
he still made mistakes.
Still failed people.
Still destroyed things.
Then—
he laughed softly.
A broken laugh.
But genuine.
"I need to get stronger this time."
He slowly reached toward his weapons beside the bed.
The blades reacted immediately.
Dark light emerged from both weapons as the room temperature shifted unnaturally.
Then—
the swords transformed.
Two floating spirits appeared in front of him.
The first one smiled brightly.
Messy black hair.
Golden eyes.
Small floating cloak.
"Hi! I'm Golly!"
He spun happily in the air.
"The Blade of the Undying!"
The second spirit crossed his arms calmly.
Silver hair.
Sharp red eyes.
Much quieter.
"And I'm Gelly."
"The Blade of the Dead."
Jhonathan blinked slowly.
"…My swords became children."
"We are NOT children!" Golly shouted instantly.
Gelly sighed.
"He's an idiot. Ignore him."
The blades suddenly changed form again.
The massive weapons compressed into two dark daggers, both carrying different energies.
One radiated life.
The other radiated death.
Smaller.
Faster.
Made for close combat.
Assassin weapons.
Jhonathan stared at them silently.
Then smiled slightly.
"…I understand."
Golly floated closer excitedly.
"Ooooh! You figured it out!"
"You're too huge and loud to fight like an assassin right now," Gelly explained bluntly.
"Your enemies already expect overwhelming power."
"So become something they can't predict."
Jhonathan slowly stood from the bed.
His body still hurt.
But his eyes looked calmer now.
Focused.
"I need to learn…"
He grabbed both daggers tightly.
"…how to become an assassin."
Outside the room, Sophia overheard everything from the hallway.
She smiled faintly.
Then muttered quietly to herself—
"This should be interesting."
