Point of View: Genesis
The moment I stepped through the portal, the difference was immediate.
The air was light. Warm. Pleasant.
Sunlight fell gently over the landscape, never harsh, bathing everything in a golden hue that carried a sense of peace difficult to describe.
The sound of birds broke the silence in harmony, never intrusive. The wind moved the leaves softly, and every element seemed to occupy its exact place.
Everything… was in balance.
But the most remarkable thing wasn't the scenery.
It was the energy.
Sacred energy permeated everything.
It flowed freely, without restriction, enveloping the environment with a purity that stood in complete contrast to the chaotic energy of the main plane.
Even the animals…
Some had already begun to cultivate it.
"Interesting…"
It wasn't surprising, but it confirmed something important.
This place… would evolve quickly.
However, I hadn't come here to observe.
I closed my eyes slightly, trying to locate her.
But it wasn't necessary.
"What do you want, Genesis?"
I opened my eyes.
I turned.
And there she was.
Elena.
Standing a few meters away, arms crossed, with a clearly annoyed expression.
I let out a small sigh.
"Looks like I'm interrupting you… am I wrong?"
She didn't hesitate.
"Yes. I'm working on my realm."
I nodded.
That was obvious as well.
Since we created this place… she hadn't left.
Always busy.
Always building.
Always refining.
"We haven't even created the race that will live here yet," I said calmly. "Why put in so much effort?"
Elena raised an eyebrow, slightly irritated.
"Would you rather it be like Loki?"
I let out a small chuckle.
"No, definitely not."
Loki's philosophy was simple.
Absolute survival.
No help.
No structure.
No order.
Everyone had to fend for themselves… or disappear.
"Then you already have your answer," she continued. "I want them to be prepared when they arrive."
Her gaze shifted slightly toward the surroundings.
"I don't want them to start from nothing… or be at a disadvantage compared to the others."
I remained silent for a few seconds.
It made sense.
A lot of sense.
"Is it wrong for me to help them?" she suddenly asked, looking back at me.
I shook my head without hesitation.
"No. This is your domain, Elena. You can do whatever you think is right."
I meant it.
She watched me for a moment longer.
Then, her expression softened slightly.
Without saying anything, she gestured for me to follow.
We began to walk.
The silence between us wasn't uncomfortable.
On my end, I used the opportunity to observe the environment more closely.
Every detail had intention.
Every element… purpose.
It wasn't just beauty.
It was design.
"You're really doing an excellent job," I said sincerely.
She gave a faint smile.
"You've already said that… but thank you."
She paused briefly.
"I just hope that when the time comes… those who live here will know how to appreciate it."
"They will," I replied without hesitation. "I have no doubt."
Compared to other places…
This was, without question, the most stable.
The safest.
We kept walking for quite some time.
Elena showed me different landscapes.
Wide plains, balanced forests, rivers perfectly integrated into the environment… everything had a reason.
Every creation of hers was deliberate.
Nothing was random.
And little by little…
The atmosphere became more relaxed.
More familiar.
Until finally…
She spoke.
"Genesis… I know why you came."
I stopped.
I looked at her.
There was no need to pretend.
"Then you also know what I'm going to say."
She nodded, but her expression tightened slightly.
"I don't like what you're doing… neither you nor Loki."
Her tone wasn't aggressive.
But it was firm.
Before she could continue, I responded.
"I don't like it either."
She looked at me, surprised.
I continued calmly.
"But it's necessary."
Silence settled between us again.
Heavier this time.
"They're not ready, Elena," I added. "Not for what's coming."
She pressed her lips together.
She didn't respond.
But her posture said everything.
"Our next enemy won't be like the previous ones," I continued. "They'll be level three civilizations."
Her gaze changed.
Now… she was truly listening.
"Stronger. More organized. With real experience in war."
I paused briefly.
"If we face them now… the losses will be much greater."
Elena lowered her gaze.
Her hands clenched tightly.
"This… isn't the only way…" she murmured.
"No," I interrupted gently. "But it's the most efficient."
Silence returned.
Longer.
Heavier.
Until finally…
She exhaled slowly.
"Alright…"
Her words were soft, but carried weight.
"I understand… but I need something in return."
I looked at her attentively.
"What do you need?"
Her eyes locked onto mine.
"Loki."
I wasn't surprised.
"He's going to lose control," she continued. "You know him as well as I do."
And she was right.
"I don't want this to escalate more than necessary," she added. "If that happens… you have to intervene."
I remained silent.
I didn't answer immediately.
That… interfered with some of my plans.
Elena noticed.
Her expression changed.
"Genesis," she said firmly. "This is not negotiable."
Her words carried weight.
"If Loki continues like this… it's going to go too far."
She was right.
But still…
I thought for a few more seconds.
Finally…
I nodded.
"Alright."
She didn't look away.
"When the time comes… I'll stop him."
A slight change appeared in her expression.
Not relief.
But… acceptance.
"Then I won't interfere either."
She hesitated for a moment before saying it.
But she did.
We stepped slightly closer.
I extended my hand.
She took it.
The deal was sealed.
The atmosphere relaxed.
"You know…" I said after a moment, "before you existed, I tried to create sacred and corrupted energy."
Elena nodded.
"I know. I still have those memories."
"But I failed," I continued. "What I created was… origin energy with variations."
I looked around.
"The beings of the main plane mistook it for something different… but that was due to their weakness."
Elena understood immediately.
"When we were born," she added, "those energies appeared naturally."
"Exactly."
I nodded.
"That's why I created these places."
I looked at the surroundings.
"So both of you could have a space aligned with your nature."
Elena smiled faintly.
"We don't need it… but we prefer it."
"I know."
We kept walking.
Without hurry.
Without tension.
Time passed without us noticing.
When we finally stopped…
It was already night.
The sky was clear.
The stars shone brightly.
"Don't worry," I said. "I'm monitoring everything."
She didn't look at me.
But she replied softly.
"I know…"
She paused briefly.
"And that's why I trusted you."
I nodded.
There was no need to say anything else.
We said our goodbyes.
And just like that…
I opened a portal back.
Dalaran was waiting for me.
The work… continued.
