The chapter starts with HighQ returning to the crashed van.
HighQ sees three men approaching, and he gets ready to fight.
The three men recognize him immediately.
"Boss, we found the boy. I repeat, we found the boy, northeast," one person said.
"Alright, I'm coming in one minute," Gardeuin replied.
"So they remembered my face," HighQ thought to himself.
The men surrounded HighQ from all sides.
"Where will you go now, kid—" one man started, but before he could finish, HighQ landed a jab on his face and knocked him out in one shot.
"Damn, he's so strong!" the second man said to the third.
"Quick, inform the boss. He's a professional fighter," the third man said.
But HighQ moved like lightning, cut the third man's arm at the joint, and said, "What's the rush, kid?"
"Ahhhh!" the third man screamed.
"Boss, there's a professional fighter here, I rep—" Before the second man could finish, HighQ ripped open his stomach with his bare hands like an animal, stopping him from saying more.
"What happened? Hello?" Gardeuin said. "I need to get there quickly, damn!"
HighQ defeated all three easily, but then someone appeared and threw a kick, which HighQ blocked.
"Do I know you?" HighQ asked.
"Hmm, I don't think so," Gardeuin replied.
HighQ countered Gardeuin's kick with a jab, but Gardeuin dodged. Then HighQ moved at lightning speed and landed a brutal uppercut—"BOOM"—that hit Gardeuin, making blood spill from his mouth.
"So you don't talk, you just fight straight away," HighQ said.
"Interesting. I first test my opponent's strength. If he entertains me, I give him my introduction. If not, he dies," Gardeuin said.
"My name is HighQ," HighQ said.
"My name is Gardeuin Alt," Gardeuin replied.
"You're from Elite Force?" HighQ asked.
"Yes, how did you know?" Gardeuin asked.
"Fighters like you are always from Elite Force. And I myself work for HYBIRD BLACKEYED. I'm the second‑in‑command of Black Centipede," HighQ said.
"Oh, then we shouldn't fight," Gardeuin said.
"Exactly, that's what I was saying," HighQ replied.
"But what about the men you killed?" Gardeuin asked.
"Do you want to fight?" HighQ asked.
Gardeuin smiled. "You killed my men, so I should at least hit you a little or Teach you a lesson," he said.
"Fine, try," HighQ said, moving closer.
Suddenly, HighQ was hit in the face by a kick, but when he looked at Gardeuin's legs, they hadn't moved.
"What! How?" HighQ said.
HighQ took another kick and was thrown back.
"Invisible attack!" HighQ thought.
"What happened, HighQ? Are you scared?" Gardeuin asked sarcastically.
"No, I'm just wondering where you got this ability," HighQ said.
"Ohh, my XL>= ability."
Meanwhile, a few hours earlier…
Christopher and Bootsie were in a car.
"So you won?" Bootsie asked.
"My fight was about to end, but then Gardeuin called me," Christopher said.
"Oh, that crazy old man," Bootsie said.
"Yes, the same one. He underwent a new experiment in N.E.O.G—Project XL>=," Christopher said.
"What is that? N.E.O.G again?" Bootsie asked.
"No, N.E.O.G isn't as dangerous anymore. It's become a cub instead of a lion," Christopher said.
"So what is this XL>=?" Bootsie asked.
"It's a new experimental power used on Gardeuin. It was successful. He can now perform invisible attacks. He can't do it forever, but he can sustain it for quite a while," Christopher explained.
"Oh, so basically his attacks won't be visible to us?" Bootsie asked.
"Yes, exactly," Christopher said.
Back to the fight between HighQ and Gardeuin…
"So kid, are you ready?" Gardeuin asked.
"I'm always ready!" HighQ replied.
Gardeuin threw a jab at HighQ's face, but HighQ deflected it and moved forward to break Gardeuin's face.
But Gardeuin used his invisible attack and landed a dangerous kick on HighQ's face. HighQ didn't flinch, but his jaw cracked.
"Huh, these kids," Gardeuin said.
"Nice ability, but you don't have much power," HighQ said.
HighQ prepared his signature move. He speared forward, grabbed Gardeuin, who tried an invisible knee strike to HighQ's stomach. But HighQ lifted him into the air with both hands and slammed him down hard. Gardeuin was badly injured.
"I haven't even used my main power yet," HighQ said, laughing.
"Ahhh, these kids," Gardeuin groaned in pain.
Gardeuin stood up, fixed his hair, stretched, and said, "Today will be a good day, don't you think?"
Suddenly, someone punched Gardeuin from behind, sending him flying into a wall along with HighQ. It was Dott Usman.
"So you were the one making all this noise!" Dott shouted.
"Oh, it's you," HighQ said, getting off the wall.
Gardeuin said nothing—he was already in bad shape.
"Dott," HighQ said.
"Yes, it's me," Dott replied.
"I thought it was someone else," HighQ said, walking toward him.
"I need to settle my score," Dott said.
"Ohh, that's why you're here. But look, you can't beat me. Our score is 4–0. If you fight me again, it'll be 5–0. I don't want that," HighQ said.
"Our last fight was eight months ago. I've become stronger," Dott said.
Gardeuin smiled faintly and stood up.
"Oh, kids," Gardeuin said.
Suddenly, Gardeuin appeared in front of Dott. Dott saw him, but before he could react, Gardeuin landed a heavy punch on his face, sending him back.
"Hmm," HighQ observed.
"Attacking from behind? Fight me properly—" Before Gardeuin could finish, Dott grabbed his face, threw him into the air, jumped up, and punched his stomach hard. Gardeuin was smashed into the road. Dott pulled him out, grabbed his hair, smashed him into the walls two or three times and slammed him into a car. The attack was so strong that Gardeuin couldn't survive—he died there.
"What have you done?" HighQ said.
"Let's get out of here. I killed him," Dott said in a serious tone.
"His game is over. I couldn't even train today. I'm going to sleep," HighQ said.
"Hmm," Dott said, leaving.
Meanwhile, back to Christopher and Bootsie's conversation…
"The problem is that Gardeuin's XL>= is the weakest in Elite Force because his body can't handle much energy," Christopher said.
"I'll kill him with my own hands," Bootsie said.
"There are much stronger XL>= abilities in Elite Force. Many experiments are happening. Elite Force is moving toward becoming superhuman," Christopher said.
