"Rosie...come here " Mira rushed into the safe house seeing Rosie.
Rosie who had been pacing around in the living room, rushed to her. Mira hugged her, "Are you okay ?" she asked.
Rosie nodded pulling back tears rolling down her face.
"And your sister ...where is she ?" She asked looking around.
Karlye and David walked in too.
"She is okay, they are just giving her a check-up. To see if she and the baby are okay " answered Rosie.
The door behind them opened and the doctor walked out. Karlye was the first to move , he didn't wait for the doctor's diagnosis and went straight into the room.
Andriana was lying back on the bed. She sat the moment she saw him enter the room.
"Baby...." He called to her.
"Karlye, you're okay ?" She opened her arms to receive him. The moment his arms held her Andriana erupted into tears.
She wailed holding on to him.
Rosie and Mira stood back in the doorway hearing her crying.
"It was scary ...I ....I ...it happened so fast. The bullets and the rushing. Then the maids ...." She glanced back at him.
"I am sorry I didn't tell you about them. I knew you didn't want to be watched at home but it was for such cases " he said.
"Are they okay? Did they survive ?" She asked.
He fell silent shaking his head.
"Oh my God .....they ...they " she broke out in tears again.
"Come on love, don't cry so much. You know it's not good for you or the baby " he held her.
"But they protected us, they just gave away their lives like that for us ...it's not fair " she cried.
"That was their duty, they took the job fully knowing what was at risk," he said to her.
She pulled away, "What....Karlye those were human beings, people like us, who feel pain, eat, sleep and have families too. How can you say it was their duty to die for us "
He sighed.
"Andriana, listen to me. Right now you just need to think about you and the baby nothing else, okay "
She wiped her tears, noticing Rosie and Mira at the door.
"Mmm, can I talk to them now " she mouthed pushing his hands away.
Karlye glanced back to see the two , the mean look on Mira's face told him she was already agitated.
After she found out what had happened, David and Mira had rushed to their company.
Karlye could see how she tried so hard not to say anything provocative to him, but the glares didn't stop.
She had been quiet on the way to the safe house too.
Karlye got up while Andriana gestured to them to come closer.
Mira and Rosie moved to her and Karlye quietly walked out.
David saw him walk out and asked how Andriana was.
"She is alright, they are both fine " he muttered.
The dark frown on his face could tell David how mad he was.
His aura had changed the moment he stepped out of the bedroom.
David had just cleaned up the mess he had just made now this happened. He knew it was going to be a bloodbath
Mr Phillips had secretly formed his own organisation and the moment Karlye killed him, they retaliated.
And fully knowing about his weak spot which was his pregnant girlfriend they decided to attack her before he could even know they existed.
It had been a surprise attack and if it wasn't for the guards protecting his home, Andriana and Rosie would have been killed.
He sighed walking out.
"Do you have one ?" he muttered to David.
David frowned, "I do but you can't. Not here "
Karlye rubbed his forehead trying to hold back his anger but failed. And without warning turned and punched into the wall behind him.
David breathed pulling out his handkerchief.
"You need to calm down, you can't let her see you like this " he moved closer grabbing Karlye's now bleeding knuckles.
"She almost died, David. I put them in danger again" he gritted his teeth.
David wrapped the cloth around his hand.
"I know ....we need to get this situation under control. Andriana doesn't need to be in such a risky and unstable environment. And Rosie has her life to live too "
Karlye took back his hand seeing the blood ,stain the white cloth.
"They will pay ....all of them " he clenched his fists.

After Andriana fell asleep, Mira and Rosie came out.
"What happened to him ?" Mira asked David noticing Karlye's bloody hand as he walked past them .
He had recieved a call.
"Don't worry about it, is she really okay ?" he asked.
Mira sighed, "No, she isn't. She is still in shock, I'm glad it didn't affect the baby ".
"She is going to stay here until ....."
"Stop ...please stop. This was the last straw for me. I told you, the moment he puts her life in danger again, I will take her back " said Mira.
David looked back at her.
"Peach .....you can't protect her . It's dangerous for her to be out there right now , she needs to stay here ".
"And you can ?....you and him have all these capable people but see what still happened. Andriana has gone through enough traumatic events in her life. All she needs now is to have a peaceful life ....not this dangerous environment ". Mira stated.
David sighed.
"I know but ....."
"But what?, I am her friend for heaven's sake I can't keep watching her go through all this. Yes, they love each other but what will happen if that love is the cause of her death ?" She looked up at him.
David was silent.
"David let me tell you this, if Andriana is ...God forbid, but if she loses her life in this crazy shit caused by him. I promise you that ....I will kill him with my own hands " she muttered then turned away.
Rosie appeared from the kitchen.
"Aunt Mira, I think we should make some dinner for her. In case she wakes up hungry " she said.
"That's a good idea ... What do we have " Mira took her hand as they walked back to the kitchen.
Karlye who had been on a call walked back into the house.
"What did they say ?" David asked.
"I have their support, we are doing it tonight ' he said.
"Alright, but I think you should stay back. You need to stay with her " said David.
Karlye glared back at him.
"David I said I was going , nothing is stopping me. They dared to attack her ...none of them is staying alive tonight, I have to make sure of it " he declared.
David sighed.
He had seen this storm coming.
